Ontario General Contractors Association (OGCA) not supporting Ontario Business? Why is this in Nashville and not in Ontario? This makes no sense. "WE BUILD ONTARIO" .... but our annual general meeting and conference outside of Ontario. . . outside of CANADA 🤔? Missed Opportunities by not having the AGM in Ontario: - Supporting Ontario Businesses and Venues - Chance to schedule tours to buildings actually constructed by Ontario General Contractors - Inability for people to attend because of cost and time (We actually run businesses you know). - Ontario media coverage - Ontario Colleges and Universities being highlighted. This really shows how tone-deaf associations can be. Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce CEO Paul Britton joined a major policy announcement at the iconic Pinewood Group Limited earlier this morning, where the Prime Minster delivered his 'Plan for Change' speech. Paul said: "The announcement of 150 infrastructure projects stood out, and we will be lobbying to make the case for Western Rail Access to Heathrow and other digital, road and rail improvements. Hitting these milestones is going to require outstanding execution to make change happen and this is where it has faltered in the past." It’s General Election week!!! A bellwether for a thriving economy is an active commercial property sector that is attractive to investors at the recent commercial property roundtable that was hosted by Brady Savage-George and Almeda Facilities Ltd it was interesting to hear from Hollie Ruddle from Avison Young │UK and Ian Lambert from Hartnell Taylor Cook, who both said that although investment levels into the Bristol commercial property sector had been lower than usual in the past three years, there were optimistic signs going forward. Hollie and Ian were both buoyed by a recent trip to MPIM, where investors were talking keenly about the Bristol City region. Another trend that is happening is the continued influence of family offices in sparking commercial property deals across the region. This is our third key takeaway from a productive morning’s discussion at our most recent roundtable that included – tag in all guests.
