I can't pretend to understand all of this ... because as I am only just catching my breath following the advent of ChatGPT etc . So... hearing that there's more on the way to disrupt and blow my brain? Help! Hard to imagine what an AGI system (artificial general intelligence) will be able to solve in the future. AI solves novel and difficult tasks with human interaction. However... an AGI system will be able to solve problems in many areas, just like a human being - without manual intervention. I can't pretend. It Scares me imagining that a machine might act like a human being ... without manual intervention? Mankind (Womankind) have to get the right ethics in place, to cushion us from the fallout and impact on our already fragile mental and emotional health. Thanks Jeremy Connell-Waite
Just minutes ago, Nvidia leapfrogged Apple & Microsoft to become the world's most valuable company with a $3.32Tr market cap. This image showing Nvidias 262% year-on-year growth, shows some of the stats behind the story driven by demand for its chips and an investor frenzy over artificial intelligence. The AI race started in the 1950's but now things are really hotting up. Hold on to your hats folks.... If you think things are disruptive right now, this is probably nothing compared to what will happen as we approach AGI. (Somewhere between 2028-2029?) ⬇️ "Things take longer to happen than you think they will, and then they happen faster than you thought they could." Rudi Dornbusch 📈

Chief Financial Officer @ Gryphon Venture Partners, L.L.C. Delivering Strategic Insight, Practical Solutions and Increased Revenue and Returns
Christopher Mims at The Wall Street Journal has a great article about how even if the US Federal Government succeeds in going after NVIDIA they will likely suffer the same failure that AMD, Amazon, Google and of course Intel Corporation continue failing. The long and short of it is that NVIDIA has spent the past 20+ years replicating the #MoatStrategy of #Software and #Hardware tightly integrated and hired, amazingly, more #SoftwareEngineers than #HardwareEngineers. The biggest difference is that NVIDIA continued to focus irrespective of any short-term hit to their stock. Obviously, not everyone can succeed every time but companies that legally succeed should not be punished for others' incompetence in #capitalmarkets societies. The more "equal outcomes," are forced onto the markets the further #China and other countries might get ahead of us. What do you think? #management #venturecapital #capitalmarkets #privateequity #AI #AIfinance https://lnkd.in/gkf8tSYt

Nvidia, a 31-year-old company, has made history by becoming the world’s most valuable firm, surpassing Microsoft with a valuation of $3.335 trillion. This milestone marks the first time since 2019 that a company other than Microsoft or Apple has held the title of largest company. According to Capital Economics chief economist Neil Shearing, the enthusiasm around AI driving Nvidia's success may resemble an inflating bubble, suggesting continued U.S. stock market growth for the next year and a half. However, he warns of a potential burst leading to a period of significant underperformance. Nvidia's leadership as the U.S.'s most valuable listed company is attributed to the soaring demand for its artificial-intelligence chips, sparking a tech boom reminiscent of previous industry revolutions. Their AI chips are pivotal in creating advanced systems that awe the public with their text, image, and audio capabilities. The last time a computing infrastructure provider led as the most valuable U.S. company was in March 2000, during the dot-com boom, highlighting how companies like Nvidia and Cisco drive technological advancements to the forefront of market value. The note of the week: 🚀 Nvidia's meteoric rise to a $2 trillion valuation is nothing short of extraordinary! What's even more mind-boggling? It took them only 8 months to add the second trillion to their value. Now that's what I call exponential growth! 🌟 This achievement isn't just a stroke of luck. It's a testament to Nvidia's unwavering commitment to long-term vision, strategic investments in cutting-edge technology, and astute market analysis. 💼💡 Their focus on AI, a revolutionary technology, has been a game-changer. By investing heavily in this space, they've positioned themselves as leaders in a market with few contenders. 🤖💰 Happy to hear your thoughts. Have a great weekend...
