■BMW's new method of successful startup collaboration (Masayuki Kimura, Gregor Gimme: Nikkei BP) This book introduces a new open innovation method (Venture Client model) created by Germany BMW and spread around the world. Venture Client mode is a method of "becoming a customer of a startup" with the aim of realizing strategic benefits. By utilizing the Venture Client model, BMW was one of the first to incorporate ADAS into its mass production line. In less than a year, the company realized a mechanism for autonomous driving in a factory at a surprisingly low price, and implemented a console game system that can be easily enjoyed in the car. Every year, we welcome more than 20 regular suppliers to increase profitability and reduce costs.Apple's iPhone, which is an innovative product that everyone wants, such as Alphabet, Meta, and NVIDIA in the U.S., is at the top of the global market capitalization, and startup-originated technologies are used in face recognition, wireless charging, audio organization, natural language processing, and photo sorting technology that support innovative experiences. It is no exaggeration to say that it was startups that supported Apple's technology. The author has been focusing on promoting open innovation by supporting the growth of startups. It is by no means a success, and I still feel the difficulty of open innovation. This book teaches us that there is a big cultural difference between startups that emphasize speed, continue to question products in the market with the idea of lean startups, and continue to take on challenges, and large companies that Thailand and break the stone bridge.

Additionally, the city boasts a strong ecosystem for accelerating startups, securing an impressive 20th rank in the 'Accelerating Startups' category. Notably, Helsinki has achieved remarkable success in attracting large-scale investments for growth, positioning itself at a commendable 14th rank in the 'Scaling Unicorns' category among the 200 analyzed startup hubs. Furthermore, this initiative serves a dual purpose by contributing positively to the Roma community's involvement in the AI sector.
