Components 101: Batting Curtains Designed to provide a visual and physical barrier between lanes, as well as to protect the high impact areas of the netting, batting curtains are a popular choice with clients having our ECB approved practice nets systems installed. As with all total-play components, basic just won’t cut it. We have selected a material for its strength and because it allows light and wind to pass through the curtain material; meaning less strain on the netting system. There are also options when it comes to installation - batting curtains are installed as standard with a single design with one curtain between each lane; with upgrade options for double design with a curtain each side of an internal wall - or wrap around design, which gives a batting curtain each side and at the back of the batting end.
