At the recent British Society for Refractive Surgery event in Oxford, we were delighted to have our #FINEVISION Trifocal IOLs discussed in the following lectures: "Pros and Cons of FINEVISION plus case for discussion" by Mr. Amir Hamid FRCOphth FWCRS CertLRS and "Refining IOL calculations for refractive accuracy and precision" by Prof. Damien Gatinel. A big thank you to both of these surgeons for their support, and special thanks to BSRS for organizing such an outstanding scientific program! Another good collaboration. Thanks for the great Teamwork. Seper Ekhtiari Vikas Khanduja Here is the conclusion of the paper: Patients undergoing either primary THA or TKA can expect clinically meaningful improvements in the first six months after surgery. Beyond this time point, there is a plateau in PROMs. These findings are important for both setting patient expectations in pre-operative discussions, and allowing surgeons to have a realistic understanding of their patients’ expected post-operative course. https://lnkd.in/eYEw_cMc

Our newest article published in SWISS KNIFE on the role of limb lenghts in gastric bypass: 💡Ideal limb length in RYGB balances weight loss and malnutrition prevention. 💡Extending the BPL can enhance weight loss without worsening side effects. 💡Careful patient selection and thorough monitoring are crucial. 💡Further research and technique refinement are needed to determine optimal limb lengths for individual patients. 🔎Looking forward to the results of the ongoing SLIM-trial on long BPL RYGB Ralph Peterli Marko Kraljević
INNOVATION: Limb Length Matters in Gastric Bypass Surgery: As of today, the ideal lengths for the AL, BPL, and CL in RYGB still remain unknown. During a RYGB, surgeons typically use around two meters of the jejunum to create both AL and BPL. Adisa Poljo Marko Kraljević Ralph Peterli https://lnkd.in/dvBQJf68

Reading today through the Journal of Refractive Surgery and great that #ArtIOLs inverted meniscus latest publication appeared among the most read clinical articles. 👀🙌 For those surgeons & professionals who still have not read it do not miss it. A nice read during the summer before 42nd Congress of The European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS), Barcelona 🇪🇸 "Visual Performance at All Distances and Patient Satisfaction With a New Aspheric Inverted Meniscus Intraocular Lens" #ArtIOLs 40/70 combination resulted in a #simultaneous #vision #range with a high level of spectacle independence and #without the #compromise of #halos & #glare or #dysphotopsias 💻 Link to article: https://lnkd.in/dw6wgtHG Our clinical team will be present during #ESCRS Barcelona to explain the latest clinical results. 📍 Hall 7, Stand E.91 VOPTICA
