The demand for Assistive Technology (AT) worldwide is very high while access is limited due to; 1. High cost of AT. 2. Some individuals lack awareness of the existence and their rights to use AT. 3. While disability prevalence is high in rural areas, most ATs are accessible in urban setups. Access to AT is even harder for individuals from poor backgrounds a majority being PWDs. For school-going children, this is one of the factors that determine enrollment and retention in schools. How do we then ensure that individuals access AT? 1. Producing AT locally and at an affordable cost. 2. Capacity-building key stakeholders in the community on the existence and access to AT. 3. Ltd. set a new benchmark, where we unleashed a fusion of groundbreaking technology and unforgettable experiences. We didn’t just create experiences - we set a new standard in innovation and engagement. 😎 Our iconic showcase featured: 🔹 Air Blower Photobooth – Magic of Engineering: Participants experienced the exhilarating rush of air as they sped up. When the throttle reached 100 km/h on Ather, a picture was captured. With a simple QR code scan, they could effortlessly access their photos. 🔹 Zero Throttle Challenge – Magic of Engineering: Five bikes, player names displayed on screen, and F1-inspired visuals. When the light turned green, players raced to 100 kmph. The fastest wins! 🔹 Keyboard Installation : We transformed the ground into a vibrant piano with large colored keys, allowing users to stomp and play tunes that corresponded to the scooters' chime in tune. 🔹 Hammer Activity : Participants tested their strength by striking Ather’s battery, with lights indicating the intensity of their hits. When I did a series of focus groups with #olderadults about #physicalactivity and #technology the feedback was always the same, "I don't care about 10,000 steps or what #exercise I do, I just want to make sure I am doing the right thing and getting the most benefit.
