So I found myself in Soho yesterday in lively conversation at the Festival Of Circular Economy with CIWM. Which was filmed and live-streamed globally as we chatted. 🤔The question posed was how do we embrace the change needed through Green Skills in order to create a circular economy?
💚There is clearly a huge opportunity, given the growth needed in green skills and jobs, in order to achieve net zero. So we explored the barriers and solutions around; education, upskilling, training, inclusivity, and digital sustainability.
🙏Given the urgency of the situation, it now requires tremendous focus and collaboration to inspire, empower, and skill the workforce of both today and tomorrow. 1. Take access to the big screen before a UCL match.
2. Add premium pitchside seats.
3. Throw in a couple of globally recognised and loved brand ambassadors (one of whom used to play for the home team).
4. Build a competition that is easy to understand and enter, where value can be realised immediately, and where anyone in their right mind wants to win.
5. Place the sponsor's product at the heart of the competition mechanic whilst building its association with the sport and enjoyment of the experience.
6. Film it so it can be amplified to the larger digital audience.
7. Give it a name so it is memorable, creates standout, and gives the brand some ownable IP that could be leveraged across other properties.
8. Make it easy to replicate so it builds anticipation for where it might happen next.

Another early fave as I shake off the post-Thanksgiving cobwebs.
Yes, this spot from Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority - LVCVA is fun, colorful, loud and upbeat. Expected. Typical. Par the course, right?
Yet, it's still interesting.
Let's be real. It's tough to market Sin City differently. Time and again. You want to create something new and engaging, but you need to play to what makes Vegas...well, Vegas.
I happen to think this strikes the balance remarkably well as it promotes Las Vegas as the 2024 Super Bowl host city and encourages travel to take in all in.
Love the "Excessive Celebration" wrapper, the use of Tobe and Ochocinco and all the subtle and not-so-subtle nods to the city, the big game and all the games to be played in Vegas.
Personally, I think the change.org element is a bit much, but I guess the PR guy in me can at least see the thinking in adding a layer to the story (maybe?).
Regardless, nice play design.
