My daughter and I were in Charlotte a week ago for the Outlaw Music Festival. The opening act, Celisse, said something I had never heard before: "I've been working my whole life for this." Not "waiting," but "working." She gave an incredible performance, and I hope she continues to rock! People working in the arts are truly working, not waiting, for opportunities to share their work with more people. (And Bob Dylan and Robert Plant and Alison Krauss were great, too.)
