Here are 6 talent acquisition trends we should see for remainder of 2024. Will we ever know the right answer to the trend around remote vs hybrid vs onsite work policies? Is there a right answer? Is it company, industry, even position specific? Who remembers when full remote work was in place and productivity increased dramatically in many instances? I personally feel, if possible, a solid hybrid model is the route to take with culture being the main reason for this choice. Companies must decide if they can hire the right people to fit the right model for their company and stick to the decision.

As talent acquisition professionals, we're in the people business. So can we leverage technology without losing the human touch? Here's my take: 1. People want to talk to people, not machines. 2. Technology should work behind the scenes, handling the grunt work. 3. Use tech for mundane, repetitive tasks -- that's where it shines! 🌟 4. With tech handling ~40% of the work, focus on what matters Which will always be: - Engaging deeply with candidates - Assessing cultural fit - Building meaningful connections Remember, people are still in the driver's seat. Let's use tech to elevate our roles, not replace them. Do you have any good examples of balancing technology and human interaction while recruiting? I'd love to hear your thoughts below! 👇 Happy Hiring 🌞 #RecruitingTrends #HRTech #TalentAcquisition #HumanResources #TechinHR #ThiswayGlobal #TWG #AITrustGuild

Unlocking the Future of Talent Acquisition Are you curious about the future of talent acquisition? A report from Korn Ferry has the inside scoop on six hot trends set to rock the hiring scene in 2024. Here are my key takeaways, and link to the full report, below: 1. AI and Recruiters: 🤖✨ Get ready for harmony between AI and recruiters! AI's potential to speed up processes, write job descriptions, and assess candidates is undeniable. But beware of accuracy risks and the challenge of maintaining the human touch in hiring. 2. AI for Candidates: 🌐💼 AI isn't just for recruiters; it's revolutionizing the candidate experience. Say goodbye to tedious job hunting as AI streamlines the process. However, candidates need to be cautious of AI-driven scams and verify job opportunities to avoid pitfalls. 3. Early Career Hiring: 🎓🚀 The focus is shifting to early career hires. Expect recruiters to cast a wider net, reaching candidates in high school and non-traditional education institutions. It's not just about budgets; organizations are embracing diversity, inclusion, and a call for empathy in the workplace. 4. Hiring for Skills: 🛠️💡 Move over, pedigree! In 2024, skills take the spotlight. This shift promotes diversity and allows organizations to close skills gaps strategically. Get ready for a focus on both technical and leadership skills, encouraging internal mobility and upskilling. 5. Empathy Regains Importance: 💙👥 CEOs, listen up! Empathy is back in the limelight. High-performing individuals seek workplaces with work-life integration and open communication. CEOs are expected to prioritize empathy, creating a culture that values personal circumstances. 6. Relocate or Resign: 🌍⚖️ A tough choice emerges for remote workers. As companies call employees back to the office, a dilemma arises—relocate or resign. Employers need to reassess relocation policies to retain top talent and balance the demands of the hybrid work model. Ready to dive into the full article and stay ahead of the talent game? Reading the latest insights on talent acquisition trends for 2024, I couldn't help but reflect on some of my own experiences. The article touches on the critical role of automation in streamlining the hiring process—something we've seen firsthand. It's incredible how these technologies can not only speed up the recruitment process but also help in identifying the best talent by analyzing vast amounts of data that humans simply can't process as quickly. One trend that stood out to me was the emphasis on employee experience. This isn't just a buzzword; it's a real game-changer. Candidates today are looking for more than just a paycheck—they want a work environment that supports their growth and well-being. I remember a recent case where we revamped our onboarding process to be more engaging and supportive. The result? Not only did our new hires feel more welcomed, but our retention rates improved significantly. The focus on DE&I (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) is another crucial aspect that the article highlights. From my perspective, fostering a diverse workplace isn't just about meeting quotas—it's about bringing in different perspectives that drive innovation. I've seen teams transform and tackle challenges more creatively when we prioritize diverse hiring. Lastly, the importance of upskilling and reskilling can’t be overstated. In our rapidly changing world, investing in our team's development is non-negotiable. We've implemented ongoing training programs that have been incredibly successful in keeping our workforce adaptable and prepared for future challenges. These trends are shaping the future of talent acquisition, and I'm excited to see how they continue to evolve. If anyone's interested in discussing these insights further or exploring how to implement them effectively, feel free to reach out. Let's ensure we're all ready to meet the demands of 2024 and beyond.
