Civil servants in #kenya are set to get a salary increment of between Ksh.1,000 and Ksh.3,000, backdated to July 1st, 2024. In a circular signed by Public Servic Principal Secretary Amos Gathecha, civil servants will also receive a higher house allowance.According to the new structure, which covers the second phase of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), the lowest cadre within the civil service, whose current pay is Ksh.16,910, will now go home with the new pay of Ksh.18,250.Similarly, those earning Ksh.19,220 per month will now receive Ksh.20,560 effective July 1, 2024. In a deal brokered between Public Service Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi and representatives from the workers' union, government employees who have been taking home Ksh.23,700 will also see changes in their payslips.For the higher job groups, the increment has also been effected. Civil servants earning Ksh.102,860 per month will now take home Ksh.105,570 per month. Those earning Ksh.125,630 will now find Ksh.127,340 in their bank accounts.

https://chng.it/2zZF8HvRvr Everyone deserves a decent pay rise. In realistic terms my former shipmates in the RFA haven't received an effective increase in salary since 2010. One of them has set up this petition in the hope of raising some interest. The diverse roles they now conduct means they are providing some front line services formerly undertaken by the RN. Their strength is their willingness to jump to any challenge, their weakness is their lack of manpower. To retain quality staff and crews, companies need to recognise and reward the people they have. Retention should always be a priority.

#Industry | Public Service Deputy Director-General (Operations) Datuk Mohd Shaiful Ibrahim highlighted that the salary adjustment under the SSPA will apply to all federal civil servants. The Public Service Department (PSD) is expected to issue a circular on this soon. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim will announce details on Aug 16. In all cases, the total period shall not exceed 180 days.
