A new eight-part TV series being filmed in Cardiff is projected to add tens of millions of pounds of economic value as well as creating jobs and a bespoke training programme. Filming for Prime Video’s latest TV series, Young Sherlock, is taking place on an industrial estate in St Mellons. ‼️SPOILER‼️ With the current bar for documentaries (especially in this crime adjacent space) being so high, this story (albeit an interesting and terribly sad one)doesn’t really stack up. My documentary appetite and what I expect made me think he was actually still alive and without access to the sister it’s a theory that goes un-investigated (if that’s even a word). If you’re a seasoned documentarian I’d probably avoid this. The director of 2021 climate-crisis satire ‘Don’t Look Up’ – distributed by Netflix – recently highlighted that the film’s strong popularity represents the popular goal to tackle climate change, despite the critical remarks the film attracted.
