Reasons for high NWC 📉 💲The low interest rate environment led to reduced financing costs for net working capital. As a result, a high NWC did not significantly impact the profitability of a company. ⚠️ 🌪️During a period marked by significant supply chain disruptions (COVID-19 pandemic, Russia-Ukraine War, Suez Canal blockage, and Red Sea attacks), coupled with a shortage of electronic components, ensuring product availability became paramount. This urgency led to the augmentation of inventory levels. 📈🚀 The increase in net working capital served to enable future sales growth in times of uncertainty. 📦🔍The product portfolio was expanded to generate additional sales in the absence of phase-out management for other products.
