I have experienced the CBT and EBT applications, in the real world, and see its clear negative impact on airline operations as a diminution of the training values, as it brings a jeopardy into training before the experimental / experiential role of training has been applied and absorbed. This is occurring within the framework of performance based legislation / Easa advocating cost V safety metrics prioritisation / lack of NAA skills - expertise and manpower to oversight the changes being implemented . So lets base our grandiose ideas and statements on the needs of the front line operations. 😡

Not exactly sure what is new here? Competency Based Training and other ‘modern’ training methods have been around a long time, along with the focus on KSA. Do the Miriad of Learning Objectives meet the Airline Training Needs yet and what is the future for written exams?
