Your Man With A Van need your recommendations please! 🙏 We have grown significantly over the last 6 months. 🙌 Currently, we have 23 franchise branches in place throughout the UK from Poole to Glasgow, Bradford to Cheshunt, and everyday new people enquire about joining us. This means that we have an ever-expanding fleet of vans that need branding to support our franchisees in growing their branches. Like any area of business, there are great service providers and some not-so-great providers. In order to help service our fantastic franchisees, we would like to find great vehicle branders to work with throughout the UK. This doesn't need to be one provider, we are looking for other businesses that really understand looking after their customers and the power of great partnerships. If this sounds like you or a business you've used or know, please tag them in this post or get in touch 🙏 Finding the wood through the trees with partners and suppliers is definitely a team game - hopefully our LinkedIn family can help with 🤝 #recommendations #yourmanwithavan #yourmanwithavanpartners #signwriter

CARPET I was doing a bespoke training program for a carpet retailer. The initial training was for three days with follow up over twelve weeks. One of the sections was on follow up. If there were any issues with the installation of the carpet they would show after about 30 days so it was important that customers be phoned around this time. “Oh! We don’t want to phone them then.” “Why?” “They may have a problem” To develop skills one first had to change attitude. The most important/high price purchases most of us will make will be buying a house and a car yet how many of those sellers follow up, not just immediately but in a year’s time? Don’t listen to what people want Listen to what they need Having worked in retail I can recall plenty of times when someone has walked in saying I need a pair of shoes but they can’t be blue Only for them to walk out with a pair of blue shoes 👟 It’s the same when selling a service Since to your prospects, it’s the outcome that’s important, not the method to get there They are just looking for what they know and probably never heard of your solution before Most people don’t care if you use YouTube or Facebook Coaching or Consulting To get the job done as long as it gets done

How do you respond when a competitor parks their tanks on your lawn? We've all experienced it, when you've enjoyed your place in the market but one day you wake up to find another firm is trying to steal your lunch, in particular your existing customer base. Typically it is them boasting a better service ( you know they can't do it ) OR a superior product ( you know it is a false claim ) OR they simply drag down an established and sensible pricing model ( they haven't thought it through carefully or they believe you'll bleed so much red ink that you'll fold) You have to meet fire with fire but it is your choice of weapon and tactical use that needs planned properly once you calmed down and are thinking rationally. There is no playbook that fits every scenario but a robust response will typically see them off as most bullyboys don't like being stood up to. If they have a genuine game-changing offer then you need to sit up and take notice and this is where experience and market knowledge comes into its own. My favourite story is of a local franchised car dealer ( a place I used to go to ) offering to beat any independent ( the place I now go to) on price, aiming squarely at a family business within half a mile of the ritzy glitzy showroom. Their response? To offer free servicing! The manager of the big outfit rang up and asked the little guy what he was playing at? He was told in no uncertain terms what he was playing at, and by lunchtime the franchised dealer had withdrawn their campaign. #bullies #offers #customerservice #pricing #management #strategy #tactics #familybusiness #experience #marketknowledge #competition

Have you ever wondered Glastonbury's secret to selling out in less than an hour? ㅤ The answer lies in a powerful strategy called 'signalling.' Instead of a straightforward sales approach, Glastonbury creates a waiting list, getting people to to express their interest in advance. This builds anticipation and transforms ticket launches into a frenzy, with tickets selling out in minutes. ㅤ Most companies focus solely on marketing for sales, but the Glastonburys, Rolexes, and Ferraris of the world market for signals. Have you ever tried launching a waiting list? How did it go?

It was great to meet up again with the legendary real Wolf of Wall Street, Jordan Belfort. On Saturday, 2,000 people joined us at Wembley Stadium for Jordan's masterclass. The reason I wanted him up there with me is because of something that I can't stress enough - No matter what industry you are in, you need to be great at sales!! The reason I asked him to come along and help me at the masterclass is that I want to provide my students with the BEST - and Jordan is the best salesperson in the world! However, even if you are brilliant with sales, you need to be in the right industry to make good money and really succeed. And guess what? Property is the best industry in the world. 30% of The Sunday Times Rich List are people who invest in property! But why property? The earning potential is enormous. Let's take deal selling as an example, which I included in Saturday's training... If you know what you are doing, you can make £1000s from deal selling with the same effort that you would make £10s from starting a Shopify store or selling ebooks on Amazon!! So, what's stopping you?
