Febelauto invited Aurel Ciobanu-Dordea 🇪🇺, Director of Circular Economy at the European Commission, to its stand at the International Automotive Recycling Congress (IARC – ICM AG) in Antwerp. The European DG was welcomed by Catherine Lenaerts and Henry Wattel of Febelauto and 15 representatives of the other European management organisations responsible for recycling end-of-life vehicles. The 16 PROs or alike organisations handed over a manifesto containing 20 suggestions and warnings to ensure that the new European proposal for the regulation of end-of-life vehicles (ELVs) benefits both the European recycling sector and the EU’s wider environmental goals. Febelauto will also deliver a sympathetic car wreck to the European Commission written all over with IARC Congress participants' personal views on the proposed ELV regulation. We hope the European Commission will take our concerns to heart and positively consider our proposals. I just returned from the FETSA conference at StocExpo in Rotterdam and observed several speakers who jumped on the bandwagon of hydrogen, net zero and ammonia, because an investment trend is developing in that direction.
