Teacher of English- Dedicated to Inspiring Language Proficiency and Lifelong Learning- Fostering a Love for Language Learning
As an English teacher, I've had the pleasure of introducing my students to some truly captivating books that sparked meaningful discussions and enhanced language skills. 🌟 Here are a few recommendations that have been a hit in my classes: "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee This classic novel not only explores important themes of justice and morality but also provides rich language and character development. My students have always found the narrative compelling and the characters relatable. The Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald Taking my students into the Roaring Twenties, this novel is a fantastic exploration of the American Dream and its complexities. The symbolism and vivid language make it an excellent choice for analysis and discussion. "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time" by Mark Haddon This unique and thought-provoking novel is narrated by a young boy with autism. It opens doors for discussions about perspective, empathy, and understanding differences. My students have gained valuable insights from this book. What books have you successfully used in your classes? Let's exchange recommendations and create a collaborative resource for English teachers! #BookRecommendations #EnglishTeaching #LiteratureInEducation #LanguageLearning

This upcoming fall, we will be gradually releasing decodable books for secondary, starting with books at a level 1. "Decodable books are certainly not meant to serve as everything a child reads, but rather as a foundation for skill development. Many books in this category do hold meaning and story..." https://lnkd.in/gWjTMYDx

Watching English movies can be one of the best ways to improve English. At least it is much better than reading English language teaching books. Because the English language used in textbooks is artificial and the teaching methods used are not very effective. is appropriate). But the English language used in English movies and series is English, which is much closer in its use. And most importantly, the used dialect is closer to the real dialect. But this movie, if used in the right way, is not very effective in improving your English.
