Very true. About 45 min ago had a mini anxiety spike about a new fridge I purchased. It came out of the blue, I was having anxiety about it fitting into the space in my kitchen, I'm not 100% sure it will fit. I have a small kitchen in my apartment. One of my anxiety traps is catastrophizing, which is thinking about all the wrong things that could happen. If I cannot catch it at the start I can spiral fast in a negative direction. I was able to catch myself and took a few minutes to call my wife who was able to talk me down back to my regular levels. Why did I share this story? To share with you that perhaps some of your employees have invisible disabilities. Are you able to support your team(s) who have invisible or non-apparent disabilities? Message me, or comment below asking for more information on some professional development training for your teams to learn about disabilities and how to become a certified inclusive employer.
