Last week our team member, Susanna Baldo, took part at the First General Assembly of the EU Insustrial Alliance on Small Modular Reactors.
She represented CAELUS at this important meeting with fellow european stakeholders, we are pleased to share her insights in the event.

🌟 Microreactors are typically targeted for remote applications or niche markets where customers are willing to pay significantly more $ per kilowatt of energy than the average customer. However, the Aalo-1 is not one of them.
We are designing the Aalo-1 to be economically super attractive for the main grid, with the modularity and transportability sought by off-grid customers and levels of inherent safety seen in university research reactors!

Great point, Mr. Mills. We have a growing economy, growing population, and millions more trying to get in. They all need power and none of them bring it with them. Are we going to keep burning coal and oil and gas to create our energy, or try to harvest all our needs from wind and sunshine? It's 16 degrees in Anchorage today and only 5 degrees in Iowa. Are any of those candidates even talking about energy policy or only attacking personalities? When are our political candidates going to face the realities of cold weather getting colder and hot weather getting even hotter, as well as the depletion of our fresh water supplies? We have no environmentally sensitive candidates at all. Would you like to be our President?
Awesome to see Kim McCann talking to the NIA #Nuclear New Build Group on the opportunity for #Nuclear to compete in the new #Hydrogen economy. Confirming PA Consulting’s view that we are living in a “Complex and Connected Energy System”. Key takeaways:
1) need to consider a role beyond baseload power to grid to a broader energy ecosystem integrator role
2) this requires new partnerships beyond the traditional #Nuclear supply chain.
3) needs an understanding of the techno-economics of all the integrated value chains
4) driving down LCOE through standardisation and on time/budget delivery but recognising the criticality of leveraging “system value”

The nuclear fission industry is ignorant of what's happening around it.
It must pull its collective uranium heads out of the sand and prepare to enter the commercially growing fusion energy industry.
Fission is moving towards obsolescence at an ever-increasing pace, as it is "out of step, out of time, out of place, and soon to be out of Fuel" and merely temporary.

By 2028, Helion is expected to start producing electricity from its first fusion commercial power plant, which will provide electricity to Microsoft. The plant will produce at least 50 MWe after an initial ramp-up period.
