Legal Marketing Expert | Helping Local Law firms attract more clients through organic search optimization, copywriting, and captivating website design.
What are the most important copy elements for tech startups? Value hook in seconds: Explain what you do & why it matters, avoid jargon, keep it grandma-proof. Headlines captivate: Spark curiosity, promise solutions, subheadings add context. Speak to pain points: Don't just list features, solve their problems. Clear CTAs: Tell them what to do next: sign up, download, join the revolution! Social proof is king: Real users, real voices, build trust & convert. Visuals captivate: Pics, vids, graphics, make it pretty & engaging. Bonus: Be accessible, have a voice, and be mobile-friendly.

Focusing On Inputs, Evaluating The Outputs One of the hardest things early-stage startups confront is maintaining focus in an environment rich in uncertainty. Founders who successfully navigate this territory stress the importance of having a bias towards action, and rapid learning and iteration. Implicit within their approach is the capacity to focus on what they can control. They do this by: ⏺ Setting audacious goals that can be measured (output metrics such as revenue, expansion, growth). These often aren’t controllable— they can be influenced. ⏺ Reverse engineering those goals to input metrics or activities (e.g. volume of email outreach, content, ads) based on some assumptions (e.g. conversion rates, sales cycles etc). ⏺ Setting up a framework for evaluating the results of their inputs (e.g. what worked, what didn’t, and what did they learn). At scale, this allows them to assess performance based on: ⏺ Quantity of activity. Example, 100 customized outreach per day. ⏺ Quality of activity. Example, correctly positioning problem and solution proposition during sales calls. Brian Armstrong said this well in his podcast with Lex Fridman, “Even if you’re not sure what to do, just do anything. Because when you do it, it’ll produce some information—people liked it, they didn’t, etc.” https://lnkd.in/g5VdCFZH
