✋ Halt & Catch Fire 🔥 If you haven't seen this brilliant TV show (currently streaming on Channel 4) I can highly recommend it. I was inspired to watch it for a second time after listening to Daniel Priestley excellent #diaryofaceo episode. Set during the technology boom of the 1980s and 1990s, the show follows a group of ambitious individuals in the Silicon Prairie of Texas and later Silicon Valley. (Visionary) Joe MacMillan is a charismatic and enigmatic visionary with a troubled past. He's driven by an ambition to leave his mark on the tech world and takes bold risks to achieve his goals often at the cost of his personal relationships. (Creative) Cameron Howe is a rebellious and brilliant programmer with a knack for disruptive innovation often challenging the status quo with her unconventional ideas. (Manager) Donna Clark is intelligent, ambitious, and fiercely determined to succeed in a male-dominated industry as she grapples with balancing her career aspirations with her personal life. Although she's a talented engineer in her right, her skill is organising and taking care of the business side of things. (Engineer) Gordon Clark is a brilliant engineer with a knack for innovation, but he struggles with self-doubt and personal demons. It’s a fascinating drama that looks at how these brilliantly drawn characters form close relationships that are tested to their limits personally as they navigate various challenges and how, despite their conflicts, they are at their most effective when they work together. It’s a must watch for entrepreneurs or anyone looking to start a business or working in a team. For any child of the 80’s it evokes some real nostalgia too! Have great week. #relationships #personalities #entrepreneurship #workplaceculture

Right in the feels, this video. 💯% ⬇️ I've seen real benefits of entrepreneurs & businessmen having a mentor, it's useful, even nessesery most a lot of the time & has real benefits. 👥Those who have that "guardian angel" beside them are lucky. Robert Green described it correctly, choosing a mentor is like choosing a second parent, and a good friend. ➡️ Find one if you can. Choose wisely. Count your blessings if you find one. https://lnkd.in/dfh_zAQM

Currently, I believe one prevalent misconception among merchants, as briefly mentioned earlier, revolves around the question of whether they can impose a fee for credit card transactions. The myth suggests that it's not permissible, and many merchants are led to believe so by customers who claim it's illegal or against the rules. Contrary to this misconception, it is indeed allowed, provided it is executed in a proper and compliant manner. How could you scale up your business? How do you generate more clients(leads) for more revenue? What's the process? This process is known as the Discovery process. We humans rely a lot on logic, trust and urgency. Many businesses only put their focus on one of the three but a business that does all the three, does exceptionally well. Apple's an excellent example that does all the three well. Logic: It invests in logic but having the best salespeople on its team to make their customers understand their products and delivers the right for them. Trust: This is built by adverts, the company history and user experience which creates a lasting impression. According to Prof. Robert Dunbar and Google's research, a person needs 7 hours of contact and 11 touch points to make the final purchase, respectively. Urgency: Apple delivers this in terms of pre-orders, limited editions or early discounts etc. Reasoning for this is quite simple. Human mind is unfortunately very fickle due to which we tend to forget or get distracted so, by creating an urgency, the customer tends to purchase it in the fear of missing out. Therefore, when you'd start working on all of these 3 components and planning your strategy effectively, generating those leads is just a matter of time! To further enhance your knowledge on this, Here's an awesome value-bomb podcast by Ali Abdaal ft. Daniel Priestley. Do check it out! https://lnkd.in/gFYrwHAE #business #brand #strategy #roi
