“Are you a physical therapist?” Someone asked me this question earlier this month… 😬 It may seem like an extremely random question because I am very much so a marketer and far, far from a physical therapist. But it was actually a major compliment. Why? When he asked me this question, I was wearing a Progressive Motion t-shirt after going straight to a networking dinner for The Owners Club (see picture) after a PM team offsite. I mean, I can’t blame him - all the signs were there to suggest I was a physical therapist at Progressive Motion. 🤷♀️ But to me this meant that I am so engrained into the culture and company of my client that people think I’m in another profession - the profession of my client. One of our value propositions at Honey & Hive is our Team Member Mentality. A Team Member Mentality means we are speaking our client's language, we celebrate their wins and help them fix their failures, we’re wearing their merch, and we may even get confused as being a full-time member of their team. 😅 I can count on both hands the amount of times people have been surprised to hear I have my own company and work with multiple brands, not just for the client in question. So, while it still caught me off guard being asked, “Are you a physical therapist?” it validated one of our goals at Honey & Hive - being an engrained member of our clients’ teams.

When interviewing potential physical therapist at Kinetic we get asked a lot what is the typical path for either a new grad or a new hire. The path used to be simple, start as a staff therapist and work your way up to a clinic director, but now it’s much different. As Kinetic grows so do the opportunities for advancement. For example, one of our staff physical therapists from a few years ago is now our VP of product development and looking into new areas that Kinetic can expand into. Another is Director of our Sports Performance Program. We aren’t looking to be your typical PT company, we are looking to be more. So what is your typical path? Not sure, but it could be anything… #movebetterwithconfidence

Who do you want to be as a physical therapist? Not where. Not what 'kind'. But who will you be? What will you provide? Let's change the narrative. PT is what a physical therapist provides. Not the location. Not the specialty. It's the care. Think outside the box. Be you. Be innovative. Bring PT TO PEOPLE. What do you think? #Physicaltherapy #physicaltherapists #edpt #PTinteED #PTintheCommunity #TopofScope

“Why did you choose to be a Physical Therapist?” It’s a question I’ve heard countless times from family, friends, and colleagues. And I can’t blame them for asking—why pursue a career in Physical Therapy? With a demanding 7-year educational journey ahead, while also juggling family and work commitments, it might seem impractical to invest so much time, money, and energy into a field where the average salary in my area is around $70k per year. If it were all about the investment, why not aim for a career that promises a higher income or more prestige? The answer is simple: it’s not about the money; it’s about the impact. It’s about helping people regain their health and mobility without resorting to surgery or letting them fall into crippling medical debt. It’s about being the person who guides someone through their recovery and makes a tangible difference in their quality of life. I chose Physical Therapy not to chase financial gain or public recognition, but to follow a calling that lets my passion for helping others, my altruism, truly shine. For me, it’s about using the skills I will develop to serve, uplift, and empower patients on their path to healing.

Considering your options for physical therapy? 🏋️♂️ Let's dive into the differences between a virtual physical therapist and an in-clinic therapist! 📍 VIRTUAL PT gives you the flexibility to engage in 1:1 hour long sessions from the comfort of your own space, recorded exercises specific to you, and proven solutions to your injury. 📍 TRADITIONAL PT requires commuting to a clinic multiple times a week for brief sessions with a PT, all while receiving generalized exercises that may not address your specific needs. The biggest advantage of virtual PT is accessibility. Virutal PT eliminates the need to commute to a clinic, saving you time, money and energy. Plus, virtual sessions often offer more flexibility in scheduling, allowing you to fit therapy into your busy lifestyle with greater ease.
