Don’t forget to join us tomorrow for our Brunswick Street Open Day. Location: 17 Brunswick Street, Hebden Bridge Date: 22 June 2024 Time: Drop in between 1.30pm and 3.30pm Working in partnership with the owner the property, we purchased this two-bedroom home and plan to make it available later this year creating an affordable and secure tenancy in Hebden Bridge. This informal event provides an opportunity to take a look at the ground floor of 17 Brunswick Street before energy efficiency works begins at the property in July. You’ll also have the chance to speak to our Trustees about this project and find out more about the work of the Trust. We look forward to seeing you there. Some practical info: *Access* Access to the property is via a cobbled street that is uneven and can be slippery when wet. There is a step to get into the house. Please take care when approaching and entering. *Parking* There is very limited general street parking a short walk away from the property. Where possible, it’s advised that you park elsewhere or come via public transport and walk to the house.

My observations: - Transit Oriented Development Areas have great potential for masterplan communities in areas currently massively underdeveloped, regardless of policy it just makes good sense! (Look at Wesgroup Properties's Inlet project right next the Port moody's Inlet station) - Increased CACs, DCCs, ACCs, (All the Cs!!!) regardless of our current housing crisis, are disincentivizing development of more homes and burdening future home owners. - Increased costs due to ever increasing step code for energy and ghg performance. Imagine a solution to masterplan communities with the right density, reduce the ever increasing costs for developers, whilst meeting all step code requirements and having a near zero operational carbon housing development? It's a no-brainer to chat with us here at Creative Energy to co-develop a low carbon district energy system on these sites!

Green light for new homes on The Wirral 🏘 Wirral Councillors have voted unanimously to approve plans for 116 new homes in #Bromborough. The new development by Persimmon North West will be built on an unused site off Pool Lane which has stood empty since 2009. Building on brownfield sites has been made a key part of the new Government’s housing strategy as members of Wirral’s planning committee approved the application on Thursday 12th September. 🏚 A mix of properties will be provided ranging from 1 bed apartments through to 4-bedroom semi and detached houses. 🔌 All homes will feature either EV chargers, solar panels, and air-source heat pumps, exceeding current building regulations. 🤝 14 of the new homes will be transferred to a housing association for social and affordable rent with a further 9 properties to be sold at a discount of at least 30% under the First Homes scheme. 🌳 The development will achieve a biodiversity net gain of over 10%, through on-site enhancements and habitat improvements. 🏞 Residents will also have access to over 2.5 acres of public open space, with a children's play area and pedestrian and cycle path connections to Port Sunlight River Park. Almost £350,000 of investment in the local community will be provided by Persimmon including money for improvements to Mayfield Playing Fields. #PersimmonHomes

Macquarie Park Rezoning: What & Where? After being identified as an accelerated precinct under the government's much-talked-about transport oriented development program, a master plan for the precinct is on public exhibition. The government is proposing to rezone land for up to 4,622 additional homes, including a mandatory affordable housing contribution of between 10% - 15%. Certain sites within the precinct will get huge height increases, including up to 190 metres. Multiple sites have also been identified as 'Key Sites', meaning those sites can benefit from additional planning incentives. Next week, we will be writing about exactly which sites benefit from height and FSR increases. Join 7,500 + property professionals and get access to the info. Subscribe here: https://lnkd.in/gzNEX4k5

With housing being the most persistant driver of household inflation, hard to understand how cities continue to fail to understand that drastic changes are necessary to increase housing supply. Ample capital and developers are keen to build, the zoning, entitlement bottleneck is largest single source contributor to lack of supply. SFR areas do requires some protection but some now neighbor high density commercial and/or transit so some transition zoning is necessary to continue growing the city. https://lnkd.in/gcPRpYNc
