In early 2023, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced an allocation exceeding $6.5 billion to states, tribes, and territories for critical drinking water infrastructure improvements nationwide through the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF). Approximately half of these funds are earmarked for service line upgrades, particularly for lead line replacements. However, there is a question of whether these funds could also be utilized to construct water transport pipelines to locations such as El Paso, TX, following desalination. Who would be the local authority responsible for spearheading this initiative in El Paso? https://lnkd.in/giCMZF5M
