📈 Forbes 2025 Canada's Best Employers 📈
Forbes just published an interesting list of Canada's best employers.
To determine the ranking, Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to survey more than 40,000 Canada-based employees working for companies and institutions that employ at least 500 individuals within Canada. Survey respondents (who remained anonymous so they could answer freely) were asked if they would recommend their employer to others and to rate it based on a range of criteria, including salary, work flexibility, training programs, and opportunities to advance. Participants were also asked to do the same for their previous employers (within the past two years) and those employers they knew through their experience in the industry or through friends or family who worked there. Responses were tallied and the analysis included survey data from the last three years, which allowed for a robust assessment of organizations that consistently ranked well versus those that may have had just one good year. The more recent data and the evaluations from current employees were weighted more heavily than others. Ultimately, each employer was given a score, and the top 300 organizations made the list.
Here's the top 10:
📈 Google
📈 Microsoft
📈 Concordia University
📈 Hydro Quebec
📈 The Hershey Company
📈 McMillan
📈 Bank of Canada
📈 Adidas
📈 Canadian Institute for Health Information
📈 Pratt & Whitney

Growing up in London, I’ve witnessed how development can sometimes feel like it erects an exclusionary red-line around communities. But I’ve also seen the immense potential that can be unlocked when local talent is invited in, nurtured, and local people are empowered to shape and then access new opportunities in their neighbourhood. It doesn’t happen by accident or through a single touchpoint, but needs a long-term plan.
Our sustainability strategy focuses on education, employment and affordable space for this reason – so that ultimately when we build new places, we build them better because we haven't cut ourselves off from local talent and expertise. Inclusive growth should mean local people building new places, in every role and ultimately as the decision makers at real estate companies, architects, engineers, etc.
Change starts from within, and it’s great to have been recognised for the seventh year running among the top 75 UK employers taking action to improve social mobility and creating equal opportunities by the The Social Mobility Foundation.
