They were discovered by Asaph Hall, but Swift and Voltaire wrote about them before they were discovered. This e-book presents a few basic facts concerning Mars. It discusses the mysterious structure on Elysium planitia and elsewhere. It also treats in some detail the mysterious writings of Swift and Voltaire concerning the moons of Mars. International Moon Day marks the anniversary of the first landing of humans on the Moon as part of the Apollo 11 lunar mission 55 years ago today. As President John F. Kennedy famously said, “We choose to go to the Moon. We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard.” Thanks to the extraordinary vision of NASA, the mission to the Moon became synonymous with ambition, even if the success of these endeavours was never guaranteed. What can we learn from this? Without embracing the possibility that unconventional ideas may fail, we would never be able to shift the paradigm on the world's most complex issues. I am an advocate of #MoonshotPhilanthropy - a concept where philanthropists embark on high-impact journeys by funding high-risk, moonshot ideas. Philanthropists have the unique freedom to take risks with their money, and that is a superpower we should appreciate. There is a famous example of the difference between vision and mission, and it’s based on 1960s American president John F. Kennedy. This was during the Cold War with the USSR (Russia), and the USA was falling behind Russia in the race to dominate outer space. The Russians had already gotten the upper hand. They took the lead over the Americans by launching the first man into space, Yuri Gagarin in 1961. Seeing this success by their arch-rival, the Americans were under pressure to achieve something even greater to top the dreaded Russians. It became a matter of national pride and prestige. Therefore top priority. So JFK set a challenge on May 25, 1961 to NASA, the American nation’s space agency. The vision: Land a man on the moon, before this decade is out, and return him safely to Earth. The mission: To lead the world in space exploration and technological innovation. The result of such a compelling and clear vision and mission? On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong became the first man to land and walk on the moon. America saved face. And have dominated space exploration ever since. Wish you nothing but profit and success.

The story of Inside44 revolves around humans, as it is primarily told for a human audience. In this vast universe, humanity has conquered several planets and established new civilizations. Our most significant conquests include Mars and the Moon. Mars was terraformed, with half of the planet resembling Earth while the other half remains uninhabitable without specialized equipment. At a pivotal moment, Mars decides it's time to separate from Earth, leading to tension and conflict. Earth strongly opposes Mars's desire for independence, setting the stage for the pre-story of Inside44, which begins 15 years before the main events. This period marks the "Brotherly War," a devastating conflict between the two planets in which many lives are lost. Mars ultimately triumphs in the war by employing unprecedented strategies and tactics, securing its independence. This conflict, known as the "Mars War for Independence," lays the foundation for the universe of Inside44 and shapes the entire story.

Now it is the turn to make the pillar that holds Mars that was lost. There are no two alike in the planetarium since they were made by hand, so this one could not be less; similar shape, but not exactly the same (the one in my hand is the pillar of Jupiter). Apart from the fact that it is the shortest of all and will not hold moons since in the year this planetarium was built the moons of Mars had not yet been discovered. Thanks for watching!
