Embrace the future of energy storage with Calibrant Energy's Battery Shared Value program! If you're a business owner in the PJM territory, you may be able to reduce your base rate up to 50% by making an energy transition. How? Simple: adopt a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and couple it with federal tax credits and state programs, with a lower risk than a typical battery contract. Want to know if this program is right for you? Check out a free assessment for PJM customers at this link: https://lnkd.in/ghEf2QHg

Deep cycle batteries are a crucial component of any off-grid energy system, providing a reliable power source when the grid is unavailable. However, like all batteries, they have a limited lifespan and can be prone to premature degradation if not properly maintained. A deep-cycle battery not functioning optimally can lead to reduced performance, decreased efficiency, and even complete system failure. But with the right knowledge and techniques, you can significantly extend the lifespan of your deep cycle battery storage, ensuring a consistent and reliable power flow when you need it most. https://lnkd.in/dF5Yb2S8

Energy storage offers opportunities for balancing electric supply and demand, and represents a key piece of the puzzle in ensuring our transition to cleaner energy can maintain the reliability of New York’s electric system. Recognizing this need, and in response to state law, the Commission established a 3GW energy storage target in 2018. Since then, in partnership with NYSERDA, NYISO, utilities and others, we’ve explored and refined various strategies and actions encouraging the integration of battery storage. Yesterday’s order reaffirms the importance of energy storage, establishing a higher 6GW goal, and supporting programs to cost-effectively increase growth to ensure the pace of energy storage development can meet our growing needs. The Virtual Power Plant (VPP) is the digital twin of a real one, with the advantage of being distributed, controlling and optimizing all devices that produce and consume electricity. Adopting VPP is a benefit for all stakeholders involved, from utilities gaining better control of the grid to individual prosumers optimizing their solar, battery, EV chargers, consumption and participation to the market. Click on the link to learn more. #WeAreEnel #renewables #batterystorage #EVchargers
A virtual power plant (VPP) shares the same goal as a traditional centralized power plant: to meet the grid's energy demand with the available energy supply. What makes a VPP promising is how it achieves this goal—by managing decentralized energy assets, often lowering their aggregated energy demand, and providing economic benefits to participating organizations. Let’s get into it 👇

A paradigm shift is upon us that includes transitions from fossil generation to renewable and centralized generation to more Distributed Energy Resources (DERs). Operation of these DERs in the most efficient and effective way possible requires an evolution in the software used to manage the grid. This leads us to one of the utility industry’s most commonly used acronyms when speaking about the future operation of the electric grid — ‘DERMS’. So, what is a DERMS and is this something that our cooperative utility should consider? What value would a DERMS bring to your members? Find all these answers and more in our new whitepaper, available for download today! https://hubs.li/Q02nWjmH0
