Big update on the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA): On March 1, 2024, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama declared the CTA unconstitutional. The Act aimed to expose illegal activities by requiring business entities to disclose beneficial owners. While the ruling grants relief to some, the CTA's reporting requirements remain for others. The government has appealed the decision, and FinCEN will continue implementation, except for the plaintiffs. Need help navigating these changes? Reach out to Poole Shaffery for guidance. #LegalUpdate #CTA #ComplianceAssistance
