ANZAC DAY PAYROLL REMINDER = 25 April You can only require an employee to work on a public holiday if it’s written into their Employment Agreement, and it’s a day they would usually work. Otherwise, you can ask an employee to work on a public holiday, but they don’t have to agree. If an employee works on a public holiday: • they must get paid at least time and a half, AND • if the public holiday falls on what is a normal working day for them, they must also get a paid day off at a later date. Although Easter Sunday is not a Public Holiday you can’t make an employee work on that day, even if it is a work day for them - and they don’t have to give you a reason. If they do work then you pay your staff their normal wage and they’re not owed an alternative paid holiday.. . Hope that clears it up for you! If you do have any questions though, please contact your Rural Client Manager directly 😁

Your employees and ex-employees won't let you get away with ripping off your temps holiday pay anymore. Please do the decent thing and put holiday accrual amounts on your payslips. Make it easy for temp staff to book paid days off work. It's their money. Not yours. I also recommend you seriously think about how & when you are going to clean-up your payroll methods. You know you should be paying ENIC for your workers paid below £15 per hour. There isn't a compliant model for outsourcing employment and payroll under £15 per hour. It's not the temp workers fault you can't win and retain business without needing to rip them off to pay for your business & lifestyle. We all know getting temps out to work has been so much harder than those Rockstar Resourcer days when sales was as hard as "do you need any temps mate". I understand you are spinning plates and trying to keep priority people happy in your life. But you know you can't carry on being an ostrich. Your reputation won't recover as quickly as you spent the grey margin. #temporarystaff #payroll #holidaypay #industrialrecruitment #umbrella PS. this is targeted at all Recruitment Agency Owners and Hiring Companies getting charged under £15 per hour for workers paid at £11.44 - £11.50 per hour on contracts without serious volume & MSP commitments. It's plain sight corruption that needs ending for the sake of everyone.
