If you make the minimum wage in California, you have to work 118 work hours per week just to afford the rent and utilities for a modest two-bedroom apartment and 96 hours per week to afford a one-bedroom apartment. We need common-sense legislation that will invest in affordable rental housing solutions in our communities.
