Today, I ordered a few items from Blinkit, and upon receiving them, I noticed that the milk I got was expired. Had I not checked the date before consumption, I can’t imagine the consequences. This kind of negligence is unacceptable. As customers, we place our trust in brands, believing they will prioritize our well-being. But incidents like this raise serious concerns about the quality checks these brands have in place. It’s high time brands take responsibility and ensure the safety of their products—our health depends on it! #CustomerSafety #QualityMatters #BrandResponsibility #ConsumerRights #TrustInBrands #Blinkit #ExpiredProducts #FoodSafety

Hot of the Press: For Lemons. RB comments 👇 Cider taste test judge rules for budget brand in trade mark case: Thatcher v Aldi : A judge who was invited to conduct a taste test of rival ciders at the centre of a trade mark dispute said today the two products tasted ‘very similar’. However Her Honour judge Melissa Clarke, sitting as a High Court judge, found there was ‘no likelihood of confusion’ between budget supermarket Aldi’s cloudy lemon cider in its Taurus range and Thatchers’ canned cloudy lemon cider. 👇 RB’s take and comments to the Directors of Thatchers. 👇 I must express my disappointment (perhaps influenced by questionable legal advice) that you invested your hard-earned profits in what can only be described as an ill-conceived, badly conducted, mean-spirited, and ultimately unsuccessful legal escapade against Aldi. One can't help but wonder about the cost of this inglorious day in court. Don't forget to tally up not only your lawyers' fees but also Aldi's costs for the proceedings about your costs. And let's not overlook the potential expenses of responding to this critique – which, I assure you, is the least of your worries. As a humble consumer, I'd have preferred if you redirected those litigation costs (and probably Aldi's costs you might be ordered to cover) towards offering your excellent cider at a more affordable price or, better yet, generously compensating your workers. It appears you have money to burn on legal battles; I'd rather see it put to better use. Attempting to claim intellectual property rights over the natural appearance of a lemon – a fruit created by the Almighty "in the beginning" – was, pardon my bluntness, a rather silly stunt. Even as a child, I could have warned you of the deserved consequences. (I'm 70 now.) Thatchers, unfortunately, lost to Aldi for complex legal reasons that even my seasoned patience found less engaging than this email. But I'll say it plainly: Trying to "copyright" lemons was a misstep, and losing might be the best lesson in humility. Consider this a friendly suggestion from a consumer who'd rather you focused on making great cider than trying to own the rights to a fruit's appearance.
