Deputy Director for Broadband @ California Public Utilities Commission

California's #ImperialCounty spans more than 4,000 square miles and has a population of slightly less than 180K, making it one of the least populous counties in the state. Getting fast, reliable #broadband to these communities can be tricky. That's why this $13.8 million grant from the CPUC's Federal Funding Account for the deployment of fiber broadband is vital to supporting #digitalequity in Imperial County. And there are many more grants on the horizon!! The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) will be issuing resolutions recommending awards to counties throughout the state on rolling basis roughly every-two-three weeks from now into the new year. Each resolution will be posted for comment before a Commission vote. Keep track of all the good news coming from CPUC for this program by watching the Federal Funding Account Recommendations and Awards page on our website. #broadbanforall
