I had the opportunity to sit down with Craig Moffett again this year at the MoffettNathanson Media, Internet & Communications Conference to share an update on T-Mobile’s business. One of my favorite things to do is to share the incredible results that our teams across T-Mobile have been delivering quarter after quarter – and share where we're headed as a result! A few things discussed in my fireside chat today: 1️⃣ Focused on customer growth 📈 We continue to grow our share of customers – driven by our durable and differentiated value proposition and unique growth opportunities, and that enabled us to deliver a higher share of postpaid phone net adds year-over-year in Q1. We also led the way in growth in broadband again this quarter as customers continue to appreciate our high-speed internet product. 2️⃣ Continuing to lead in network 📶 We will continue to maintain our network lead - our pull-forward of capex into 2022 and 2023 has provided us with a broad, multi-layer 5G network that we can now deploy additional spectrum for capacity across existing radios. Our capital-efficient and data-informed “Customer-Driven Coverage" approach guides us as we continue to enhance and further expand our network. 3️⃣ The future is bright 😎 Results don't happen overnight! The momentum we've built over quarters and years has showcased that our model is working. We remain focused on continuing to take share in wireless and broadband while delivering industry-leading growth in service revenue, profitability, and strong growth in free cash flows. We couldn't be more excited about what's ahead for T-Mobile!

"When does the money show up?" That's the question I often get from broadband leaders about the BEAD timeline. There has been much hand-wringing and gnashing of teeth to get this timeline directionally accurate, but the answer is still the same: it depends. The timeline is tricky. You have to run through a set of challenges, then a grant process with multiple potential rounds, and then another NTIA approval. The reality is that states are at different levels of readiness, as the NTIA BEAD tracker shows. Even when the money is approved, the grant paperwork needs to be written and administered. There is a time lag between when a grant is "provisionally won" during the competitive process and when the grant award is fully made. Ultimately, it is a matter of how the money will show up over time instead of when. In tomorrow's edition of the 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙏𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙢 𝘾𝙤𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙧, I share a few things you have to estimate to be prepared when your time comes and a rough estimate of how BEAD dollars actually appear in the supply chain quarterly across the entire program. Subscribe to the LinkedIn newsletter at the link below to be the first to receive weekly high-quality content to help you tackle complex strategic challenges in the telecom industry. Q: Are you preparing for when the unexpected BEAD timeline unfolds? Please like 👍🏼 Please comment 💪🏼 Please share 👊🏼 #newsletter #telecom #telco #value #ruralbroadband
