The state of MA is on the net-zero move! Speaking to Boston Globe Media reporter Rachel Umansky-Castro about $60M federal funding for Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority to go electric, Jared Schnader, senior director CALSTART underscored how the range on electric buses gives local governments more reason for excitement: “Now we’re seeing buses go over 280 miles, without having to charge.” As the Governor herself noted, the state’s goal of operating a zero-emission fleet by 2040 is “essential” in order to tackle the largest source of greenhouse gas emissions: transportation.
