At last week’s ‘Free Lunch Friday’, the Cambria team got together with a delicious New York Deli to celebrate the end of Movember, as a number of us have been bravely growing out dodgy facial hair in aid of Prostate Cancer UK and men’s mental health awareness. We have to say, everybody taking part put in a good showing but the 2024 Movember winner has to be Sandro, who was able to grow a very respectable ‘tache over the last four weeks! Although the rest of this year’s competitors all deserve a round of applause for their efforts… 👏 Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eZ4uqeix

Today was a significant day at J4RVIS. As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Anna Haeger and I shared our experiences as carers for loved ones battling cancer. It wasn’t easy to talk about the ups and downs, but it felt important—almost healing—to open up about the emotional rollercoaster we’ve been through. Our goal was simple: to create a space where our team feels safe to be themselves, even in their most vulnerable moments. Seeing the team’s reaction was a reminder of how powerful vulnerability can be. When we open up, we create deeper connections, and those connections drive real change. We’re committed to continuing to build a workplace where people feel supported—not just professionally, but personally too. And if you’re going through this journey as a carer, don’t hesitate to reach out—I’m here as a helping hand and a listening ear. Here are a few tips I’ve learned as a carer: 1. Ask for support: Let friends and family know exactly how you want to be helped. 2. Look after yourself: Take care of your physical and mental health, even if it feels hard or brings guilt—it’s essential. 3. Focus on the next 3 steps: The journey can feel overwhelming, but breaking it down into manageable steps can bring comfort and a sense of control. #BreastCancerAwareness #Vulnerability #WeAreJ4RVIS J4RVIS

Movember is a global movement dedicated to raising awareness for men’s health issues, including prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health. Each November, men grow moustaches to spark conversations and encourage vital discussions about these often-overlooked topics. Why is this important? Because one in eight men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer, and many face mental health challenges in silence. By talking openly and supporting one another, we can save lives and promote well-being. At Peak Healthcare Recruitment, we support this initiative and encourage everyone to get involved. Let’s break the stigma and prioritise men’s health together! 💙 #Movember #MensHealth #ProstateCancer #MentalHealthAwareness #PeakHealthcareRecruitment

This is a time to remember the importance of early detection, ongoing research, and unwavering support for those impacted by breast cancer. Equally, it’s a reminder to prioritize mental health, breaking down stigmas and supporting those who may be struggling. Together, we can work toward a future where no one faces these battles alone. 4 more things not to say to someone who has cancer. Sometimes there are no right words to say. The best thing you can do is listen, without judgment and without offering any well-meaning advice. 💚 #CancerAawareness #Mentalhealth #Speaker
