In this interview with Rachel Rakvica, VC firm founder Ariane Tom, explains that neuroscience is underserved in our healthcare systems today. Her company, Kaleida Capital, is keen to work with start-ups in neurotech to advance the understanding of how our brains work and to address issues such as neurodegeneration and psychiatric disorders, which have such a high economic burden. New studies show how the brain influences many aspects of our health, from immune function to chronic pain.
