Navixy is releasing its new Design System 4.0 on May 28, 2024 We are preparing to launch a new design system for our telematics platform next week. This is not just a redesign with improved UX – this is a whole new design system that enables greater capabilities for further flexibility. This is one of the milestones as we head towards a bigger goal, including no-code/low-code user interfaces and DIY third-party app integrations. Hey Folks, Has anyone ever been stranded on the roadside while traveling or taking a weekend trip? Personally, I’ve never experienced it, but I’ve seen people struggle to deal with it. Which ultimately leads to frustration and kills the overall excitement. This gave me the opportunity to solve the real-world problem. The idea was pretty simple "design a user-friendly solution to make roadside assistance fast and stress-free." Not only by offering towing services but also by creating a platform for local garages to get involved . So its, time to call "Auttow : Emergency roadside assistance application". From research and user personas to wireframes and prototypes, I followed a structured design thinking process to ensure the app meets user needs. Some key features of my app include 1. Real-time location tracking 2. Instant tow truck booking 3. Nearby Gas/Charging stations, hospitals, and hotels. Apparently NIO, a Chinese EV brand, uses an extremely user-centric design approach in their car development process. Basically, they keep regular sessions between developers, UX teams and… the actual car owners, asking them - “so what would your next favourite feature be in your car?” They are able to do that, because of 2 reasons: they have their own proprietary E/E platform built grounds-up and based on SDV principles, and secondly - their lightweight, peer-to-peer process allows for insanely fast development cadence. BTW: peer-to-peer here means there are no traditional layers, like the OEM, Tier1, Tier2, etc, but everybody talks directly with the interested party, cutting through the red tape and getting things done quickly, albeit sometimes chaotically.
