I'm in the trenches of recruiting DevOps/Platform once more! DevOps/Platform engineer position. York Area, X2 days in the office, £65K + Benefits Specially for me network in and around the York Area. We've got a client who we've been working with for nearly 2 years. They're in the automotive sector. The Platform team is expanding; I'm looking for person who's experienced in AWS, wants to get more exposure to Kubernetes; has a solid grasp of platform engineering. Tech Stack in a summary of what you'll be using on day-to-day: - AWS (platform is entirely hosed in AWS) - Terraform (new environments are being created to support new client pieces, so IAC tools will be a necessity) - Kubernetes - they have a large EKS environment, knowledge around this will be extremely beneficial to hit the ground running Salary is going up to £65K + Benefits. Drive and manage a team of 6-7 SRE members offshore; must be able to direct others, push progress across the team, plan maintenance, prioritize incident inquiries, etc.  3. Bridge between offshore team, multiple application development / operations teams    Requirements needed:  1. Knowledge in application support maintenance – should have experience troubleshooting critical issues on large applications, ability to prioritize incident inquiries, understand the impact issues have on operations and how to prioritize work based on impact of incidents to the business. ITSM knowledge  2. Authentication in Kubernetes, containerization, 401 HTTP authorization 3. Some knowledge of network/cloud – theoretical knowledge, understanding of how applications are built and maintained on cloud environment. From a troubleshooting standpoint, understand what tools are needed to support an application utilized in production environment.  4. Bridge Engineer – knowledge transfer to an offshore team, ability to meet with operations teams in Japan and create requirements for the offshore team. Must be proactive in this area and have at least 5 years experience doing something similar in an SRE or operational support capacity.  5. Bilingual – need to communicate with the business. N3.  6.
