Important and a good example of how much easier it would be if we try to design away unsustainability from the beginning. They state "the use of carpet manufacturing waste of known benign chemical composition and composed only of natural fibres might be considered”. When you design something with the end in mind, backcasting from full sustainability using for example Framework for Strategic Sustainable Development this can be foreseen and we save money a great inconvenience and long term impact on the planet. So lets do that now. #FSSD Courses are available at BTH and other places. https://lnkd.in/daMNnxt4

Legislative changes to equine surfaces for environmental reasons.... "The briefing cites chemicals and microplastics found in most shredded carpet that may have a negative effect on human and animal health and on the environment." Just one of the many legislative changes impacting equine businesses now and in the months and years ahead - so important to get out in front of these things so that equestrian businesses can make sound environmental choices in a timely and cost efficient way. Time for the supply chain to give sustainable choices to equestrians. https://lnkd.in/emNARpxs
