In over 35 years of experience, we've learned a few things about working with trees. Tree jobs require three things: 1. Secure rigging 2. Excellent communication between the ground team and operator 3. A dash of patience #CampbellCrane #TeamCampbell #Construction #MobileCrane #Trades #HeavyEquipment #Crane

The Importance of a Diligent Rigger on Tower Checks & Tower Torquing In the book “Atomic Habits” by James Clear, “Staying diligent in the process of learning a new skill will pay off in the long run. Diligence helps to build discipline, confidence, and resilience. It also opens up new opportunities for personal and professional growth, such as career advancement or pursuing a new hobby. By staying committed and diligent, you can achieve your goals and become proficient in your craft”. Anyway, that’s enough of that, back to Rigging, it is so much easier if you read & understand the Guidance and Specifications well before you even get to meet the Structure, everything should flow as long as deliveries are correct, this should be checked and remedied over the first few days depending on size of structure, whilst waiting for missing items have been ordered, there is a lot of other prepping works to get on with until they are delivered, Video is of a 100mtr Lattice Tower that required additional works and Bolt Torquing, the Specification/Guidance had more “E” numbers than I was allowed to give my kids when they were growing up 🙄 1. Class 10.9 bolts, class 10 nuts, Class 300 HV washers 2. Bolts are supplied with washers on both sides and are tightened with a calibrated torque wrench to the listed torque values to prevent loosening of bolts 3. Thread and washer may be lubricated prior to tightening NOTE: Class 300HV washers are hardened and tempered for increased durability Flat washers are used to improve stress distribution, and to span large clearance holes. Chamfering design is to stop the bolt head or nut embedding into the material being clamped or deforming when under load instead distributing the force onto the material over a wider area. Do you know how many times we've walked into situations just like this one? TOO many. Here's how it usually goes: The client initially hired another rigging company to solve their (usually) very unique and difficult problem - and failed. Then, they call us in a panic. The project has already gone over-budget, past deadlines, and is causing a massive headache. When others drop the ball (or, you know, the beam), we roll in with 👉 the right equipment 👉 the right team 👉 and the expertise to actually get the job done. The best part? Seeing the client’s face light up when the job finally starts moving in the right direction. It’s equal parts relief and “Finally, someone knows what they’re doing!” We’ve made a career out of cleaning up those messes. Need a team that gets it right the first time? You know where to find us. 😉 #rigging #industrial #industrialrigging #heavylifting #heavyliftingequipment

Rigging is not a task that should be completed in a hurry. It requires knowledge, mathematical precision, and determination.
RIGGING AND SLINGING Sometimes RIGGING and SLINGING also referred to as hoisting, is an important step in the maneuvering of heavy objects in many workplaces. It is most common to see rigging done on construction sites or Operation at Plant as well the marine . Sometimes it is impossible to move an object through other means, so it becomes necessary to employ the services of a rigger. While this can be done on land or while out at sea, it is essential that whoever is undertaking the task of rigging and slinging knows how to do so safely, so that they are not put at risk, and so that those around them are not exposed to danger. Safe rigging is important because there are many variables that are at play while a rigger attempts to hoist a large object. Rigging is not a task that should be completed in a hurry. It requires knowledge, mathematical precision, and determination.
