Seattle went to bed yesterday evening awash with purple, celebrating the epic win by our UW Huskies last night! They showed us exactly what "Bending Not Breaking" means, both on the gridiron and in the business world.
Just like in any tough campaign, the Huskies faced adversity: last minute injuries stopping the clock, late penalties, and a focused opponent. But instead of crumbling, they adapted, adjusted, and made an incredible play with :01 on the clock. They bent, but they never broke.
This is a crucial lesson for us all:
Embrace the unexpected: Not every plan goes perfectly, and that's okay. Be flexible and adapt to challenges.
Stay relentless: Even when things get tough, keep pushing forward. Persistence always pays off.
Work together: Teamwork makes the dream work, on the field and in the office. Celebrate wins and support each other through setbacks.
Believe in yourself: The Huskies knew they had it in them, and so do you. Confidence is key to achieving your goals.
So, let's channel the Husky spirit this week! Let's bend the challenges thrown our way and dominate our professional goals. Go Dawgs!
"Eye opening" is what we had hoped to do with our curriculum at WorkCompCollege.com. Whether you've been in #WorkersComp for 2 weeks or 2 decades, understanding the Big Picture is key to making the best possible decisions. Nobody starts putting together a jigsaw puzzle without first looking at the complete picture on the front of the box. WRP is that "picture on the front of the box."
If you haven't looked at our full list of curriculum and faculty for the WRP, take a fresh look at https://lnkd.in/gXeUP4_T.
We've had excellent feedback from the people who have gone through our flagship program, and this summer you can save more than ever by taking advantage of our Blazing Hot Summer Sale! Go to https://lnkd.in/g4k8TPMQ for more information.
My friend and colleague, Raffi Andonian, is doing some amazing things. One in particular is a very interesting workshop for small business owners. I fully endorse and recommend Raffi and his wonderful offerings. Please see the attached video and link to learn more about this special program!

What are you prepared to do?
In the aftermath of Today's GoBlu meetings, I was thinking of what to do?
Then saw this timeless classic scene... From @the untouchables movie.
You said you want to achieve your dreams? What are you prepared to do?
If someone works for 4 hours, can we work for 6 hours? Can we? Work harder, smarter, planning the hours we have, enjoying our days in the company of the greatest friends focused on one goal?
What are we prepared to do?
What a great inspiration. And what a great place to be. Seeing our Lions tirelessly work to achieve their dreams.
Lions. What are we prepared to do?
Let us do it and rock the placement season. This is just the start. The Heroes are going to come on now and rock the stage. What are we prepared to do?

Many of us say, "If I can just reach one person in the room" on the leadership journey. This has been an essential tool to encourage me to continue my journey. After branching out and taking the big step of being a podcast guest and sharing my unique view of leadership, I wondered if any of my teammates watched the podcast. I got my answer from a teammate who shared his thoughts on the podcast with me. After he left my office, it was clear I "reached one person" and inspired them. These types of interactions are essential in our leadership journey and can help us continue the journey.
I hope this post helps another person BELIEVE they can "unearth the true boldness within!"

What makes a company truly great to work with? Is it just about skills and results—or could it be something more?
Let me challenge your thinking: Look for a team that genuinely enjoys working together, that knows how to work hard and have fun. At Blue Compass, we believe in that balance. Every year, we break into smaller teams to compete, collaborate, and just have fun together during our Blue Circle Games—an afternoon filled with food, drinks, and activities that test our problem-solving, teamwork, and even our competitive edge.
Last Friday’s event was no exception. I had the honor of inviting some friends and old colleagues to help out, and they all walked away with the same impression: our team is connected, collaborative, and truly enjoys one another’s company. It's something you can feel, whether it’s in a game or at work.
Great weather, great competition, great teamwork—and most of all, great relationships. When choosing a partner or vendor, don’t overlook the value of a team that loves working together. That’s what makes a company stand out.
