There was a time when LinkedIn was only used to find a job, update your current job status, or probably reach out to a potential employer. However, as they all say, 'LinkedIn is the new Instagram'. We share our travel stories where we promote work-life balance, talk about taking career breaks to pursue a hobby, or advocate for leadership styles that we believe in. While most of us appreciate the engagement that the platform provides, we have noticed a shift in the types of postings that are being sent out, particularly after the epidemic, where healthy behaviours have taken centre stage. You'll see posts ranging from pregnancy at work and how to keep healthy, to losing weight at 70, or even training for a marathon. Certainly, these hobbies teach you a lot about management, and can be a great source of inspiration for the entire year. Consider Mayank Kumar from Upgrad, who blogged earlier this year on how fantastic it was to achieve a personal goal. Or Prateek Sinha, who is an ardent skater in addition to working for PwC, or Dr. Manan Vora, who has been offering insights on health falsehoods we've been believing for years. Shibani Gharat posts clearly strike the right balance between work and me time, as she encourages the world to run no matter what the day brings; you can see the glow on her face after the adrenaline rush, and Prashant Desai, who shares his transformation journey from then to now, has some lovely ways of putting his point across through his personal photos and anecdotes. Rakinderjit Singh Randhawa, who has been sharing insights on consistency and simple learning, like the inputs always bring out the best output. Some on LinkedIn beautifully blurring the boundaries between personal and professional, and this perhaps symbolises a shift in the broader digital culture, with people expressing themselves more authentically on social media, through thoughtful, reflective content. Clearly, treading the thin line between sharing and over-sharing is not for everyone, but some do it better than most. https://lnkd.in/d2vzqzTh Marksmen Daily Team Marksmen Network Marksmen Media

As we celebrate Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's birth anniversary today, I can't help but wonder how much his teachings still apply perfectly to today's corporate world. He believed in equality and recognizing talent, no matter someone's background. Similarly, companies thrive when they embrace diversity and give everyone a fair shot. 🌟 He emphasized on the value of education and learning new skills. 📚 Successful businesses constantly train employees to keep up with new challenges. A diverse team is like a well-oiled machine where each person plays a vital role. Let's take a feather out of Dr. Ambedkar's wisdom hat. 🎩 Corporates need to include all voices and talents to excel. It's not about one superstar, rather it's about the teams working together. 🏆 After all, in the corporate jungle, it's not the roar of the lion but the harmony of the herd that leads to triumph. 🦁 And that's the recipe for success. 🌟 #AmbedkarJayanti #CorporateWisdom

"What are some of the key lessons you have learned in the last three years?" I was posed this question by a fellow coach I have recently connected with congratulating me on my work anniversary. After reflecting, I believe it may be useful to others to share: I share from 4 perspectives: 1. As an individual who has bounced back from adversity 2. As a "new" career coach and HR consultant 3. As a woman in her 60s 4. As a LinkedIn User 1. It is possible to not only bounce back from adversity, it can be the best thing that has happened to you. 2. Allow yourself to be vulnerable, learn from others who have done what you haven't, take that first step. 3. Age is a number--do not fall into stereotype traps, you can be 60 something with or without living a full life. 4. You really do reap what you sow.

🌟 The Power of Love and Cultural Appreciation in a Global Community 🌍 🎯 "You're going to relegate my history to a month?" - Morgan Freeman 🤝 In the realm of cultural appreciation and celebration, reflecting on the significance of our actions and the messages we convey is crucial. Today, I invite you to join me in a thoughtful exploration of the interconnectedness between love, heritage, and the labels we assign to them. 💖 Our world is rich with diverse traditions, histories, and ethnicities, all contributing to the tapestry of our global culture. We commemorate various occasions, from Black History Month to International Women's Day and Valentine's Day. However, it is essential to question whether confining the celebration of our loved ones, ethnic groups, and cultural heritage to specific days or months truly captures their profound essence. 🌍 Love, appreciation, and cultural heritage transcend temporal boundaries; they are not confined to specific dates on the calendar. As Morgan Freeman poignantly expressed, relegating our history and love to limited time frames can inadvertently undermine their significance. 🌺 Let us embrace a paradigm shift that encourages us to express love, appreciation, and cultural understanding daily. By liberating our sentiments from the constraints of time-bound labels, we open ourselves up to a more profound and authentic connection with one another. 🙏 As professionals in the LinkedIn community, we have a unique opportunity to reshape the narrative surrounding cultural celebrations. Instead of limiting our expressions of love, appreciation, and cultural heritage to designated moments, let us strive to integrate them seamlessly into our daily lives and interactions. 🌟 By doing so, we foster an inclusive global community that recognizes the countless contributions made by individuals, families, and ethnic groups throughout history. We celebrate their impact on specific occasions and as an intrinsic part of our collective human experience. 🤝 Let us break free from the boundaries of time and labels and instead cultivate a culture of love, understanding, and appreciation that transcends the limitations of a single day or month. 🌍 Together, let's champion a world where cultural appreciation and the power of love know no boundaries and our collective heritage is recognized and celebrated daily. #LoveKnowsNoLabels #CulturalAppreciation #GlobalCommunity

The other day, someone wished me "Happy Birthday" on my Work Anniversary! Often, people call me 'Shivangi' instead of 'Shivani'. Similarly, on LinkedIn, many people simply say 'Hi' or 'hello' without explaining who they are or why they're reaching out. This highlights how frequently people overlook small details in their interactions with others. Wishing someone correctly shows that you've taken a moment to celebrate with them on their special day. Saying someone's name correctly is a sign of respect and shows that we care. Providing context in a message demonstrates that we're serious about connecting and sets a positive tone. These small gestures are important for how others perceive us. They indicate that we're professional, attentive, and respectful of people's time and identity. Each interaction, even a brief one, can leave a lasting impression and help us build strong relationships. Taking a bit more time to get greetings and introductions right might not seem like a big deal, but it truly helps us grow personally and professionally. It shows that we're thoughtful, reliable, and genuine – qualities that strengthen our personal brand. So, let's remember that investing a little more time in these small things can make a big difference in how others perceive us and the opportunities we receive in the future. Today is my 4th Wedding Anniversary and they say that "Behind every great man is a great woman." 😍 Whereas I cannot profess to be great, I can say my wife has certainly helped me with my life and career goals. I think every person who has a supportive partner can achieve better things. 1. She has pushed me to be more careful, considerate and tactful. She warns me about how my confidence levels can be mistaken for arrogance and brings me down when needed. 2. She reminds me of our shared goals and how we plan to get there. When I am down, she picks me up. When I am up, she keeps me grounded. When I am doubtful she helps me believe! 3. We challenge each other and push each other to reach the next level of our goals. We refelct on our pasts and how far we have come. We discuss and debate issues and we fight, but only to win. 4. When I am feeling, acting or being lazy she shows me with her work ethic and professionalism that I need to keep up. She keeps me competitive and driven. 5. She is there to listen to my problems and make suggestions on how to deal with them. I could continue but I would bore you so i'll stop there 🤣 How does your partner help you in your professional life? #jacksongrant #recruitment #lifegoals

Why do we celebrate anniversaries? Simply put: because they remind us of our joy. I am lucky to have so many moments that mark my joyous path. When my medical transition began five years ago, I knew there would be hardships ahead. However, embracing my authenticity, externally and internally, remains such a source of joy that it hovers on the edge of the unimaginable. This, with no makeup, no filters, and a work t-shirt is what 5 years of true happiness in myself has brought me. Yet, there are those who seek to deny this joy to future generations. No one’s happiness in being themselves should ever be perceived as a threat. Robbing others of their joy is not only unjust but fundamentally wrong. As rights and opportunities to embrace this joy are being rolled back locally across the country and proposed for national restriction, we still hold a powerful tool: our vote. Use your power to stand for joy. Vote for the freedom to be oneself and for the enduring joy that comes from living authentically. Vote for joy.

🎉 The Power of Celebrating Others! 🎉 It’s been a whirlwind birthday week for my 5-year-old, with back-to-back celebrations… (Lots of awesome July babies!) Watching him attend his friends’ birthday parties, share in their joy, and learn the importance of celebrating others has been truly heartwarming. As a parent and entrepreneur, I see a powerful parallel in these childhood moments. Just like my son finds joy in celebrating his friends, in business, the importance of recognizing and celebrating others’ successes cannot be overstated. 💥Building a supportive network, 💥Acknowledging achievements, and 💥Fostering a sense of community are crucial for personal and professional growth. Being part of birthday parties, my son is learning the value of friendships, and the joy of shared experiences. In business, these same principles can lead to 🔥stronger relationships, 🔥collaborative success, and a 🔥thriving professional network. Here’s to celebrating others, both in life and in business, and the incredible connections and growth that come from it. 🎂🎈 Happy Birthday Zoe 🎉🦄 #CelebrateOthers #BirthdayWeek #LifeLessons #Empathy #Friendship #BusinessParallels #EntrepreneurLife #BuildingCommunity #SupportingSuccess #SharedExperiences
