💎 Just for a bit of Fun! 💎 Because we're all a bit giddy about our 10th Birthday, we thought we'd have a bit of fun and showcase some of our motion magic. Communicating processes doesn't need to be boring. In fact, if you're in a sector that's maybe perceived a little bit, shall we say, dull by external stakeholders, think how refreshing it would be to produce something that breaks the stereotypical chuff you so often see in your sector? We've been asked a few times recently how our ThreeTwo™ framework is applied to our new branding programmes, so we decided to bring it to life in a fun and informative way. For YSL Beauty’s Black Opium Eau de Parfum Glitter, we wanted to redefine the possibilities of the FOOH format by going even further—seamlessly blending real-life footage with a fully 3D environment. The project began with a bold concept: From Storyboard to Life: A parisian nightclub with a glittering façade transforms into the heart of Black Opium factory, where coffee, marshmallows, and glitter come together to create this iconic fragrance. Scouting Locations: We sought the perfect blend of parisian nightlife and cinematic appeal to set the stage. Filming Meets Imagination: Real-life shots captured the energy and elegance of the setting, while 3D magic built an immersive world that pushed the boundaries of visual storytelling. This project was not just about creating a video but about exploring new ways to tell stories, blending innovation, storytelling, and Parisian DNA into a captivating format. Bringing Urban Decay’s Face Bond to the UK: Our Triple-Action Launch 💥💄 After its high-profile US debut, we knew we had to make the UK launch of Urban Decay Cosmetics’ Face Bond foundation nothing short of show-stopping. We kicked things off with CGI films of the product making its transatlantic journey from LA to London by hot air balloon! 🎈 This was followed by the unboxing of 650 glossy magazine-like ‘PR boxes’ on social, revealing flawless shade-perfect matches. And finally, interactive billboards hit city centre locations with brush-ready make-up artists on hand to assist. The results? You may not like the Jaguar ad. But is it “woke”? The overuse and oversimplification of this term is dangerous: 👉🏿 It creates unnecessary division 👈🏿 Using woke as a pejorative polarises audiences. Jaguar sought to return to their roots of originality and uniqueness, expressing this through art. Whether we like the execution is one thing. But featuring minorities and non-traditional norms should not automatically be seen as a political statement. Jaguar said themselves they know that only 10-15% of their base will follow them. But in doing so, they are seeking to diversify to a “design-minded” audience. Diversifying your audience doesn’t equate to wokeness. Maybe, I’m wrong and naive 🤷🏿 Btw, it’s not my favourite ad (especially the logo). But, I’m going to wait to see what comes next (like an actual car).
