Canadian Dermatology Association’s Post

Did you know that all forms of sunscreen should be stored at a room temperature of < 30°C? If you follow this rule, sunscreen will remain usable until its listed expiration date. After the expiration date, all sunscreens should be disposed of. If you regularly store your sunscreen in extreme temperatures, such as in a hot car, golf cart, or beach bag, consider disposing of the sunscreen sooner, as high temperatures can accelerate its ineffectiveness. Regularly check if your sunscreen has changed in texture, colour, or smell—these are all indicators that it may have expired! #SunSafety #UVProtection #SunscreentTip #CertifiedDermatologist
