What would you say are some quick and effective liver healthy habits that Canadians can incorporate into their daily routines? The liver processes everything that we eat, drink, breathe or put on our skin. It's one of those powerhouse organs that has over 500 daily functions. So it's really important to take care of your liver to ensure that you eat well. So think of lots of fruits, vegetables, Whole Foods. Be active. Get vaccinated for hepatitis A&B. Use your medications wisely. Uh wash your hands before eating or preparing any food. Make sure you wash your food as well and avoid contact with other people's blood or bodily fluids. It's also important to protect your skin from an Airways from toxins, so it's easy to put on gloves. Maybe wear a mask when handling certain chemicals. Really simple things that we can do to adjust our behavior and help to combat liver disease, especially non alcoholic fatty liver disease which is on the rise in Canada.
