While commendable in its intent, the collaborative initiative between Nestlé UK & Ireland and Arla Foods UK to donate breakfast provisions to FareShare UK warrants critical examination from various academic perspectives. We’re providing Shreddies and Arla is providing Cravendale milk to help build breakfasts for organisations supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged people in the UK. This donation has been made possible by the team at our factory in Staverton who have come together to produce the additional stock which will make a difference to thousands of families across the UK. Andrew Shaw, Supply Chain Director at Nestlé UK & Ireland, said: "We know just how important the first of meal of the day is, but in the current climate more and more people are starting the day with an empty stomach. That’s why we wanted to work with Arla and FareShare to provide breakfast to those who need it most.
