On August 31, communities worldwide unite to observe International Overdose Awareness Day, the largest initiative to end overdose, reduce stigma and remember those we've lost. #IOAD2024 #StigmaEndsWithMe IOAD also reminds us of the power of unity. This year’s theme #TogetherWeCan emphasises the importance of solidarity in addressing the opioid crisis. Our integrated treatment model exemplifies the power of collaboration. With our clinic, pharmacy, and ancillary services all accessible under one roof, we supported over 18,500 Canadians in accessing addiction care, and distributed over 23,000 Naloxone kits last year alone. We’re also deeply committed to collaboration with community partners to make treatment more accessible, eliminating barriers to the help they require. By uniting toward compassionate, inclusive, and evidence-based solutions, we can #EndOverdose . https://lnkd.in/exJbWDiy

Today, on International Overdose Awareness Day, we join together to remember those we have lost to drug overdose and to raise awareness about this pressing issue. Each year, thousands of lives are tragically cut short by overdose, leaving families and communities devastated. It's crucial that we destigmatize addiction, support those struggling with substance use disorders, and advocate for accessible treatment and prevention measures. The theme for 2024 is “Together we can”, highlighting the power of our community when we all stand together. Let's stand in solidarity with those affected, educate ourselves and others, and work towards a future where overdose is preventable. Together, we can make a difference. #TogetherWeCan #IOAD2024 #EndOverdose #OverdoseAwarenessDay #EndOverdose

With fentanyl leading to a rising overdose crisis among U.S. teens, access to all treatment pathways possible will be essential. Residential addiction treatment centers for adolescents are costly and unevenly distributed across the U.S., with more than 60% of facilities that accept Medicaid already at capacity. A new study shows that 23 states don't have treatment facilities that accept Medicaid, limiting an at-risk population's access to treatment. Learn more on #HealthCity: https://bit.ly/3HG9vzS

At SMF, we understand the devastating impact of drug abuse on individuals, families, and entire communities. This year's theme, "Share Facts on Drugs, Save Lives," highlights the crucial role of awareness. The more we understand the dangers of drug use, the better equipped we are to prevent addiction and promote healthy choices. But awareness is just the first step. We also need to support those struggling with addiction. Quitting is never easy, but it is possible. SMF is committed to providing resources, counseling, and a compassionate environment for those seeking a path to recovery. However, prevention is always better than cure. That's why we dedicate our efforts to educating young people about the dangers of drug use. We believe in empowering them to make informed decisions for a brighter future. #sundarammedicalfoundation #drugprevention #smfchennai

This ambitious framework lays out our key objectives for the coming years as we seek to remain at the forefront of evidence - based addiction services into the future. We are deeply committed to upholding the highest corporate and clinical governance standards to provide the best treatment and recovery services to our clients and their families. Among our key objectives, we aim to expand, develop, and enhance facilities and services to meet presenting needs, framed by Clinical Governance excellence. Coolmine has seen a massive 29.5% jump in people presenting to us for treatment since 2021 with our services caring for around one sixth of the total national presentations in 2023. Along with that, we aim to enhance the programmes we offer to specific demographics by enhancing our gender specific services while also offering more pathways for excluded community members as well as people entering Coolmine from the Criminal Justice System. In line with our mission statement, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to overcome addiction and lead a fulfilled & productive life including the most vulnerable members of Irish society.
