This is so encouraging to see! Let’s take a moment to bask in the glow of the positive impact these technologies are making and enjoy a dose of energy optimism. There are so many other technologies helping wind and solar be successful at scale including grid-scale energy storage using lithium-ion batteries, which of course rely on lithium. Good thing we're also delivering new tech for efficient and environmentally-friendly lithium extraction at Lilac Solutions to support the battery supply chain. #energyoptimism #energystorage #criticalminerals #lithium #lithiumextraction #lithiumionbatteries

Important and good news is often forgotten by media, one such example is the incredible growth of renewable energy world wide. According to The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) 86% of new installed energy capacity in 2023 came from renewable resources. Driven by solar and wind, renewable energy is dominating new installations, and rapidly increasing the share of power generation. This decade might be the decade the energy consumption of the world changed to sustainable energy, a truly historical event! https://lnkd.in/gPgFkiQX

At Barrier, we help environmentally-conscious clients sell renewable energy credits (RECs) which verify that a certain percentage of their power comes from clean sources like solar. One REC is produced for every megawatt-hour (MWh) of renewable energy that is produced and sent to the grid. So if your system produces 5 MWh of electricity, you have five RECs to keep or sell, and you can confirm that 5 MWh of your electricity came from a renewable source. Want to learn more about how Barrier can help you sell these unique credits? Click the link below!
