We’re only a few days from our first RE+ event of the year. Later this week, RE+ Community Energy takes place in San Diego. While I won’t be in attendance for that one, I will be participating in several of our RE+ regional events throughout the year: Atlanta, Houston, and Chicago, to name a few. I value every opportunity to meet with the industry and hear what’s happening in your business, what products and services you are most proud of, and what is challenging your bottom line. And at each event, I will be hosting a women’s networking event. At these, we gather, get personal, and share authentic stories that remind us that we are all managing multiple roles, and it's done best when we are open and honest about that challenge together. And then…looking further down the road, though I haven’t started packing for it yet… We all know the big one, RE+, in Anaheim this year. 40,000+ of you gathered in 2023. I think we can expect even more this year. And one thing I love about these gatherings, the regional RE+ shows, the BIG show, and the networking events is: so often, we need the catalyst of coming together to spark something new. How many amazing relationships, business partnerships, or new ventures begin from a meeting at a RE+ event? What will you spark this year at your next meeting? Which RE+ event are you most excited about in 2024?

Where to Begin When You Walk into a Networking Event Many people walk into a business networking event, see all the people standing around, and wonder, “Where do I start?” I share the answer to that question (look for open 2s and open 3s) plus more tips in this video blog. https://bit.ly/3aXJaQW #NetworkingEvent #Business

So…what do most rom-coms have in common? At the movie's end, the person they were looking for was there the whole time. Yep, the whole darn time. And guess what- if you want to grow your business in a rural community… Look no further than the gem that you might not have noticed at first. (bear with me here) Skip over the snazzy, flashy folks everyone covets—i.e., the larger platforms with massive audiences. Winning them over might earn you accolades, but… They don’t get you. They don’t understand the value you bring. But local connections do. They need you in their life. Just like you need them. So… where do these connections reside? They appear when you are just being yourself. At chamber of commerce events, local trade shows, business fairs, etc. Or even better …when you volunteer at local events. You learn and understand what their needs are. In turn, you receive insights into how you can provide value to the entire community. It’s the kind of connection between two entities that would make John Cusack bring out his boombox. And if you need me to nudge you in the right direction, contact me at 302.521.0210. (If you're call averse, don't worry—shoot me a note at jaymi@leadoutcomms.com.)

Graphic Design | Branding | Banner Design | TV Screen Displays | Video Business Cards | Host for Business Buzz Leicester | Visual Storytellers | BC Radio Presenter | #SBS Winner | Keeps you visible to keep you viable!
There was over 40 people at our last #LeicesterBuzz event - and the feedback we had from it was phenomenal - but that doesn’t mean we’re resting on our laurels - oh no no nooo! We’re planning to make the next one on Tuesday 8th October better still! That’s why we say the event isn’t about us - it’s all about YOU and giving you the tools for successful business networking! That’s why we have the 3-2-1 principles! 3 = Meet three new people at least at each event and build YOUR network! Remember, a stranger is just a friend/client you haven’t met yet! 2 = Arrange at least a couple of 1-2-1’s between the events, because this is where the magic of networking really happens as you really get to know one another and learn more about what each other brings to the table! 1 = Invite at least one of your connections to join you at the next event (8th Oct) - if everyone that was at the last #LeicesterBuzz event came with one guest this time, there would be over 80 people in the room - imagine the standard of networking that would produce and how much stronger we could all make the local small business community. Let myself, Martine, Nazma or Emma know if you want the link to book your place!
