Ever felt like you're just punching the clock at work, counting down the hours until the weekend? Haven't you observed some people leap out of bed every morning excited to go to their workplace. On the other hand, others feel like don't want even to step into their office? Well ehh.. Sometimes it comes down to their Job Characteristics. According to Job Characteristics Model, there are 5 elements that make employees engaged in their work and eventually make them satisfied in their job. These 5 Elements are - 1. Skill Variety If your workday is a nonstop mix of different skills, tasks, and challenges, it will keep you motivated. Using your full arsenal of talents prevents boredom and makes you feel like a total boss. 2. Task Identity When you're in charge of a project from start to finish, the sense of accomplishment is all yours.. Holding the ownership on the entire process gives you a powerful feeling of "I did that!" 3. Task Significance If what you're doing is making a substantial impact on the company's performance and on peoples live, the ultimate job satisfaction will be yours. Your contributions matter, and that feels incredible. 4. Autonomy The freedom to make your own decisions about how you approach your work always feels good. Being trusted to use your creativity and problem-solving will always lead to job satisfaction. 5. Feedback Booste Regular, specific feedback from your manager is like rocket fuel for your confidence and growth. Understanding your strengths and areas to improve helps you level up. This is all about Job Characteristics Model. Prioritize these 5 Elements, and you'll be well on your way to a career that fills you with energy, purpose, and satisfaction.

We help Marketing Agency Leaders sleep better at night. ex Nike, Danone, Reckitt, Betfair... Ask me about: Growing your Agency, on a results basis
“How do you #recharge?” I share this to advocate for time off without access to the internet. In my 4 years working for myself and 12-13 years before that working at global brands, I never truly disconnected. I thought being on-call was a sign of dedication and #professionalism. · I had a burn-out in 2018. · I didn’t derive the satisfaction I thought I should have from work successes. · I realised in 2020 that my metric for #success was work-life balance, not job title and salary, and my life changed. I implore everyone to make time for themselves and their families. Your old boss won’t be with you on your death-bed. Taking a week #offline was one of simplest and most rewarding things I’ve done in my career. Truly. Next job today: take my 5 month old niece for a walk! When was the last time you took a week ‘off-off’? #balance #priorities #worklifebalance Don't Forget to Look

Reality Check: Your job is just a job. That’s all it is. You can work hard, but always protect your personal life. You can do great work, but there’s no need to burn yourself out for a role that might not always be there. Care about what you do, but never more than you care about yourself. There have been a lot of layoffs in the entertainment industry lately, but remember this when you go into your next job: Establishing work/life balance is crucial, knowing that a company can cut you off at a moment’s notice. I’m preaching this, but honestly, I struggle with it too. I love what I do and often find myself giving my all to my work, sometimes at the expense of everything else. I’m working on finding that balance—giving my best without losing sight of the bigger picture. Your company isn’t your family. That doesn’t mean you can’t have great relationships at work, but it’s important to remember that at the end of the day, business decisions are just that—business. Look out for yourself, because ultimately, your well-being is in your hands. Balance is key. Keep your priorities straight, and take care of yourself first.

𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀? 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗡𝗼 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝗶𝘀𝘁. They are rather delightful! 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝘀𝗼? 𝗜𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺? As a business owner, it is about making those morning productive hours efficient, making every moment count. 𝗜𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆? As a business owner, the pressure is always to ensure cash flows to cover the expenses first (pay salaries on time, every time) and pay ourselves later. 𝗜𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆? The multiple tasks we have to juggle and the decisions to be made are immense and never-ending (so we intend). The roles keep switching from creative thinking to HR to admin. (We have yet to hire for those roles.) Monday mornings are now pleasant because I feel I have control over decisions. Every task I do contributes to the growth of the company, every deadline I meet means a happy client and every milestone means we are on the right path toward growth. This is what keeps me going. While the challenges are different, the 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲 makes Monday mornings something to look forward to! 😊

CRYPTIC Executive Officer @ Whistle | Serving $15M in SQLs monthly | 3X Tech Exits | Operator, Not Guru |
“Bring a cake”.🍰 Years ago, I worked at a place that just wasn’t right for me (not on my profile, so don’t go guessing!). My working hours were 2pm-11pm, but I had to catch a 12:30pm bus there and an 11:45pm bus home, often getting home at around 01:00am. 2.5+ hours a day in traffic each work day. At the time my kids were very young, so my only chance of seeing them during the week for those hours was in the early morning rush to kindergarten. Some mornings I was too tired from work, so I wouldn’t see them all day. Plus I wasn’t making enough money to get us anywhere. Things sucked. I knew it was time to leave and was lucky enough to be headhunted. On my last day, my wife suggested that I bring a cake. “How you start and how you end is everything” she explained. So, I listened. I’ll never forget how appreciative everyone was that I brought a cake and a card and thanked them for the time together. I didn’t have to. But, I ended on a good note, with my name in tact and years later, when Whistle was born, they became a long term client. In business and life, relationships are very important. We tend to think that workplaces are transitory, but many of the relationships we make along the way fuel us in future journeys. So, if you’re being laid off or leaving a workplace, I highly suggest that you do your best to leave on a good note. It will serve you well for the future. Bring a cake. ✌️

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 The classic 9 to 5 routine is falling apart. More people are quitting their jobs than ever before. And honestly, I'm all for it. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝘆: The workforce is exhausted. Exhausted from tiny raises and rising living costs. Exhausted from unfair treatment. Exhausted from wasting hours commuting. Exhausted from dealing with difficult bosses. Now, they're embracing a new way of living. Taking charge, making money on their own terms... Through coaching, teaching, helping, and selling. People are leaving expensive cities for affordable, tax-friendly places. They're realizing self-reliance is within reach. With just the internet and their skills, they're crafting new careers. This shift is permanent... They're not chasing after 'dream jobs.' They're creating their '𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀.'

I only work three hours a day... Yadayadayadayada. You're so cool! Ok. Maybe that was passive aggressive. Hear me out... Half of #linkedin is about people saying how cool they feel by "firing" clients, taking vacations to combat #hustleculture and never working after work hours. Listen, I hear you loud and strong. As Ezra Lebowitz responded to a recent comment I made on such a post, often hustling is BS. It creates a false sense of accomplishment. However, If you're starting out-and your sales pipeline is not full, if you don't hustle(REAL HUSTLE), you WILL NOT end up being successful. You can't start on the 100th floor. Starting at point zero involves: -not "firing" clients. Take the blows. Let them trample you a little. As long as it's not abuse, which most times it's not, laugh your way to the bank with their money, not to your home with your ego intact. -not taking vacations unless your mental state is compromised. -not leasing a beautiful office, extra salesman, secretary or copywriter until you have a steady three months of payroll saved up-unless productivity is nil anywhere else, that is. -and finally, yes! Sometimes, you'll work until 8, 9, 10 or 11. It's how the damn game works. If you want to go happy clappy every evening-get a degree and get a 9-5 job and suffice without the luxuries.... Ok, it's outta my system. Lchaim yidden, Love you all. Looking forward to your thoughts David Korn 😅 #hustle #dailygrind #FOMO

You've worked hard, and now the offers are rolling in—amazing, right? But with multiple choices, it's easy to feel overwhelmed. Here's a simple guide to help you choose the best path forward: Company Culture: Think about where you'll thrive. Does one company's vibe match your values and working style more than the other? A good fit makes all the difference! Growth Potential: Which role will help you grow your career? Consider opportunities to learn new skills, take on bigger challenges, and advance in your field. Work-Life Balance: Don't forget about life outside work. Which job will allow you to maintain a healthy balance between work and personal time? Total Package: Beyond salary, look at the benefits. Are there perks like flexibility, health coverage, or bonuses? Sometimes, the little things make the biggest impact. Stability: Think long term. Is the company in a strong position, or is it in a risky market? Job security can be just as important as the initial offer. Trust Your Gut: Finally, go with what feels right. Sometimes, your instincts know what's best even if the decision isn't easy to quantify. In the end, it's not just about the money—it's about where you see yourself thriving, growing, and being happy. Choose the role that feels right for you! #JobOffers #CareerDecisions #WorkLifeBalance
