Over the years, business owners look out for employees of honest report, people who wouldn't steal their money or cater away with their customers. I mean customers they have had and retained over the years. The Apprenticeship system helped the business owners to monitor the performance of their apprentices for years and each was settled according to their performance. However, some of the business owners out of fear of their age long customers being taken away by their about to be settled apprentices who have mastered the ropes of the business would cut every means of contact with the customers from the apprentice, sometimes making them swear to start their businesses in another part of town or another state and making them stay away from the business premises for some time before their date of settlement. This begs the questions: What happened to the years of indoctrinating your employees into the system ? What can be done differently? And what can JayaTalent do differently for you? We trade in a digital market currently and the world is searching for those who can deliver with efficacy. Jaya Talent recruites the best for your industry . The truth is ... my formal education didn't fully equip me with the skills needed for real working life. The thought of how I was going to survive after graduating and seeking a career haunted me since my university days, to be honest. Did I just follow the traditional way of learning and solely depends on the things taught in lecture halls only? Absolutely not. While I truly believe education can change our lives for the better, building and polishing the necessary soft and hard skills is crucial, as these are not directly taught in our educational system. Back in university, I juggled full-time studies with part-time work. I challenged myself and sought opportunities beyond my comfort zone. Aside from earning pocket money as a facilitator at Pusat Sains Negara and later working as an assistant for an F&B franchise, I polished my social skills by interacting and communicating with various people. My critical thinking and problem-solving skills were put to the test, especially when working under pressure. There were times when I needed to provide solutions and bring ideas to improve the business. These experiences shaped me significantly and helped me during my internship in corporate communication and administration at national oil and gas company. I found that I could easily adapt to the corporate world. The stress and pace of this new environment were inevitable, but I was mentally and physically prepared to face such situations. It was thrilling and exciting, for sure. When I was offered to move into business planning and performance section in other role, I faced even more challenging tasks that I never imagined I could handle so well. The job scope involved data analytics, strategic thinking, and engaging with people across various levels. Agility was key in these situations. By being willing to adapt, learn quickly, keeping positive attitude and seek guidance from experienced colleagues, the ease definitely came after the hardship. So, dear young graduates or anyone who can relate to this, create opportunities for yourself to face challenges and enjoy the adventures ahead. While we might hope for a linear path in life, reality often brings ups and downs. Be prepared and equip yourself with various skills in this fast-paced world. Not being privileged doesn't stop us from achieving our career dreams or working in the organizations we aspire to join. Got something? 😄 #notetomyself

#China'sArborDay #Talent development The English equivalent of the saying “人才如同种树” is “Talents are like trees.” This proverb emphasizes the idea that nurturing and developing talents is akin to planting and tending to trees, which require care, patience, and time to grow and bear fruit. Just as trees need proper cultivation, individuals with potential need guidance, education, and opportunities to flourish and contribute to society. 🌱 Talent development refers to workplace training and learning that expands employee effectiveness. Providing opportunities for talent development can give people the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to perform productively and achieve greater success within your organization. Talent development can take several shapes and should be customized to suit your business objectives and individual employee needs. Try one or a combination of the following. 👉Apprenticeships/internships 👉Internal development programs 👉Mentorships 👉Coaching 👉Industry conferences 👉Coursework 👉Stretch assignments 👉Personalize development 👉Align talent development with organizational goals 👉Provide flexible learning

Behind the internship: real stories, real experiences. Our talented HR student, Doroti Tamas was involved in the Traineeship Program offered by Tesco Business Solutions Hungary: “This has been an exceptional opportunity to try myself out in various HR fields such as Recruitment, Trainings and People Partners. I’ve learned a lot and gained experiences in a number of areas e.g. screening applicants, arranging appointments for trainings and interviews, learning about HR platforms, sourcing talents and participating in job interviews. The skills that I used and improved the most during my traineeship were soft skills – most importantly communications, trouble-shooting, proactivity, and creativity." Did you know that 70% of our graduates land great jobs within three months? #YourCareerIsIngoodhandsWithIBS

MBA Student at Seattle University | Aspiring HR Professional | Exploring Human Resources, Project Management and Corporate Payroll Opportunities
It has been a while since I wrote a post on Linkedin because I didn’t have much to say back then but I have some things to share now ! Unfortunately, at the end of 2023, I was let go from my previous position. It was definitely a good experience, especially for my first “big girl” job. However, I was not used to the 9-5 hours back then which led me to feel physically and mentally exhausted and I ended up not performing my best. It was difficult at first but I learned a lot from that experience and use it to grow at my next experience. Luckily for me, I was given a chance to intern at Zurich Insurance Indonesia in a field that I am currently trying to pursue, Recruiting and Talent Acquisition. I screened hundreds of resumes per day and make the best out of it which led to 2-3 interviews per day and filled a position after working for less than one month. Not being back in home for 5 years was quite an adjustment in my internship, especially when everything is communicated in Bahasa, which I was not used to as much as English. Mistakes were made, but I quickly learned from it. Not a lot of people can say that they’re lucky to get an internship within a month. I am currently learning a lot right now about the field and I am loving it so far! These two experiences that I have in a short amount of time had led me to realize that I wanted more in my career. Inspired by both of my parents, I decided to apply for an MBA program just like they did back then with the hopes of getting into the business field. I am happy to announce that after applying and interviewing, I got #accepted into the Albers School Of Business and Economics Seattle University- Early Career MBA Program. I am fortunate enough to be able to pursue a higher education and getting a chance to go to graduate school, especially with how competitive it is. With this new step, I hope to be able to learn more about the business field and get the knowledge I need to pursue a business related career. I know that the road ahead will be challenging, but I am determined to succeed with my perseverance and never-give-up attitude. As an upcoming graduate student, I am looking for business related internships, particularly in Human Resources, Marketing, supply chain and finance for this summer and up to the summer of 2025 ! As I end this post, I hope to be an inspiration and role model to those around me and show them that if you want to pursue something, you just gotta do it no matter how hard and challenging it is. Going through a career change is never easy, especially if you did not have it figured out immediately. Sometimes, I have to go through so many adversities and take so many risks and it may not work out the way I wanted which can be frustrating. However, I am blessed to have constant support from my family, friends, co-workers and loved ones. I am grateful for the experiences that have led me to this point, and I am excited to see where this new chapter takes me.
